From the fiery fissures, where molten lava blazed and crackled, emerged a terrifying figure. A creature with skeletal claws, razor-sharp fangs, and massive, flaming demonic horns tore through space itself.
However, as it stepped into the mortal realm, its form began to shift and change. It transformed into a refined, middle-aged man dressed in a noble's suit. Despite the streaks of gray in his hair, his stunning handsomeness was undeniable. His sapphire eyes gleamed like precious gems, and his attire and demeanor exuded elegance and sophistication.
After all, he was once on par with Gabriel as a god-tier archangel. Now, only in battle—or when he chose to—did his fallen demonic form reveal itself. Otherwise, the chaos and destruction it would bring would devastate the world. In this disguised form, he appeared no different from an ordinary man.
"Strange… There hasn't been a battle here. How could something have happened to Celeste?" Lucifer murmured, standing in his office. His expression was filled with doubt, though a sense of relief washed over him. He trusted her strength implicitly, which was why he had permitted her to live in the mortal realm.
He approached the desk, craning his neck to peer at Celeste, who was slumped unconscious behind it. His heart clenched suddenly. "So much blood?!" he exclaimed, immediately crouching to check on her.
Celeste's eyes were spinning in circles, a silly and inexplicable smile on her face. Upon closer inspection, Lucifer realized the blood was coming from her nose.
He froze in disbelief. "Nosebleed? This is…"
While pondering this, his eyes landed on a few indecent drawings strewn across the desk. Slowly, he picked one up and began flipping through it. For a moment, even Lucifer's experienced face turned red. The cause of Celeste's nosebleed became abundantly clear.
Her shy nature was a well-known trait, passed down through the Lucifer family. Lucifer's own fall had been driven by a desire for power, a refusal to remain a mere lackey. Yet, his heart remained as pure as an angel's. It was only after prolonged interaction with other demons that his morals began to erode. Even so, he still felt some resistance to such vulgar things.
"Celeste…!!" Lucifer put down the drawings, ready to furiously wake her up. But just as he was about to shout, he paused and took a deep breath.
"I need to calm down… calm down…" he muttered to himself. "She's young. It's normal for her to be curious about such things. She's never been exposed to depravity before. After all, she's grown up now…"
In that moment, Lucifer seemed less like the Great Demon God of Hell and more like a worried father. Fortunately, Lin Tian had assumed Celeste was an experienced "veteran" and had chosen particularly intense materials. She hadn't even managed to enjoy them properly before fainting. If she had, and Lucifer discovered it, she might have been expelled from Hell—or even cast out of existence entirely.
"Well, I suppose it's time to find her some respectable young high demons to consider for marriage," Lucifer sighed. With that, he returned to the Gates of Hell, pretending nothing had happened. He left Celeste her dignity, knowing that exposing this incident would ruin the Lucifer family's reputation entirely.
Much later, Celeste finally regained consciousness. The first thing she noticed was something odd in the air. She sniffed lightly.
"Father's scent? No way… He wouldn't come to the mortal realm. That guy spends all his time obsessing over power."
Shrugging it off, she returned to her previous activity, her curiosity overpowering her reservations. Smiling mischievously, she began flipping through the drawings again. "Oh my God, His Goblin Majesty really went all out with these! I can't believe this stuff exists!"
"Wait… my nose again…" She passed out several more times before gradually building a tolerance, enough to keep her consciousness intact. Left with no choice, she decided to pace herself.
Several days later, in the Goblin King City, Lin Tian had been tormenting Ladrick to the brink of collapse. Though the man's mental fortitude was astonishing, his spirit had been worn down to its limits.
"This thing really works wonders," Lin Tian remarked by the stone pillar in the plaza. "In just a few days, it's driven him to attempt suicide multiple times."
Before him stood Ladrick, his eyes bloodshot, snarling. But his teeth were no longer intact—Lin Tian had shattered them to prevent him from biting his tongue and ending his life.
Ladrick roared, "Kill me! Just kill me already, you bastard! You'll regret this! You'll die a horrible death!"
Lin Tian shrugged. "Is that so? Go ahead and curse. The last guy who ran his mouth in front of me ended up smashing his own head against a rock."
Ladrick immediately choked on his words. "I… Your Goblin Majesty, please stop tormenting me! I can give you valuable information about demons and the Demigod Empire!"
Hearing this, Lin Tian's eyes lit up with interest. "Oh? Why didn't you say so earlier?" This kind of information was incredibly valuable to him. After all, he knew very little about the Demigod Empire or the demons of Hell. Particularly the Demigod Empire—an ancient and powerful realm that had managed to endure through absolute dominance and exceptional skills.
Ladrick was on the verge of tears. "I did mention it before! But you were too busy laughing like a demon, reveling in my suffering. You didn't notice at all…"
"Why are you shouting?" Lin Tian interrupted, deliberately nitpicking. There was no need to be reasonable with this guy—it reminded him of certain overly demanding girlfriends.
Ladrick was trembling in confusion. "Shouting? I… I wasn't shouting at all!"
Before he could explain further, Lin Tian delivered another round of beating. "Alright, talk. If your information proves useful, I'll let you suffer a few days less."
Suppressing his anger and madness, Ladrick hesitated for a moment. "Your Majesty… Do you mean to say that you plan to conquer the entire continent on the other side of the forest?"
Even with the Demon God Beelzebub guarding the Uninhabited Zone, they had only managed to hold their territory. There was no talk of launching an offensive against the Demigod Empire. On the contrary, several Demigod Empires had formed the Holy Alliance to attack them.
Lin Tian's eyes flashed with murderous intent. "What do you think? Not only do I plan to take the Demigod Empire, but even gods themselves will become my prey." The only way to make the name "Goblin" strike fear into everyone was to rewrite the rules of the world.
Ladrick was shocked to his core. "Even though I hate you, your ambition is beyond anything I imagined. You're definitely not just a goblin, are you?"
"Whether I am or not doesn't matter anymore. Start talking—unless you want to experience the agony of the Dream Realm again," Lin Tian said impatiently. He had fully embraced his transformation into a goblin. Returning to a human form was impossible. Even if he used disguise skills to blend into human society, it wouldn't change the reality of his existence. The best course of action was to stand atop the world as a goblin. Why hide anymore? This was what a true transmigrator should do.
"Fine… fine. Do you want to know about demons or the Demigod Empire first?" Ladrick asked respectfully.
Lin Tian thought for a moment. While the Demigod Empire and demons were not his immediate targets, there was one pressing threat. "What about angels? Your Demon God of Hell, Lucifer—he used to be an archangel, didn't he? How much do you know about angels?"
Compared to demons and demigods, angels were his most imminent enemy. Even an ordinary archangel—a mere squad leader—could exude the pressure of a Demon King. Not to mention mid-tier angels, high-tier thrones, or cherubs. And the strength of twelve-winged seraphs? Those were genuine god-tier beings.
The thought of it weighed heavily on Lin Tian.
Ladrick blinked in surprise. "Angels? Yes, Lord Lucifer was once the left-wing archangel of Jehovah, with Gabriel as the right-wing. But Lord Lucifer, having gained superior demon power, is now stronger than Gabriel."
"Stronger than Gabriel?" Lin Tian mused. Aside from Gabriel, he could potentially deal with the others. If he could have Veronica summon Lucifer when the time came, they might stand a chance against the angels.
"I see. Now tell me about the demons of Hell. For example, is it possible to summon Lucifer here?" Lin Tian asked.
Ladrick immediately shook his head. "Impossible. Lord Lucifer is constantly pursuing perfect demon power and almost never appears in the mortal realm. He'd only come if he believed he could kill Jehovah. And with your current status… you wouldn't… you wouldn't hit me for saying this, would you?" He looked pitiful and hesitant.
"Go on," Lin Tian said, nodding with exaggerated patience.
"Your status makes it impossible to summon Lord Lucifer. However, Hell is divided among seven Demon Gods, each with their own desires. You could negotiate contracts with them instead," Ladrick explained cautiously, seeking approval to avoid further punishment.
Suddenly, he was gripped by a wave of cold dread. Lin Tian's expression darkened, his face nearly black with rage. "You dare to say that out loud?"
Terrified, Ladrick struggled frantically to escape. "Wait! You promised not to hit me!"
"Crunch…"
The Horned Python Serpent coiled around Ladrick tightened its grip, threatening to squeeze his internal organs out through every orifice. His bulging eyes were horrifying to behold.
"I'm helping you with information! Aren't you worried about killing me? What kind of logic is that?! Waaaah!" Ladrick couldn't hold back his sobs, utterly crushed by the injustice. He had been as cooperative and honest as possible, yet he still suffered. It was too much.
Lin Tian let out a light chuckle. "What kind of logic? I'm a goblin—do I really need to explain further? Now, tell me about the Demigod Empire."
"You… you!" Ladrick was so furious he couldn't find the words to retort. Resigned, he continued, "The Demigod Empire is primarily composed of the descendants of the Main Gods, and in some cases, the God Kings themselves. Their power is undeniable. Even Lord Beelzebub has to tread cautiously when dealing with them. If you plan to attack them, you'll need to be thoroughly prepared."
"Really? I thought their combat strength would be similar to yours in the Uninhabited Zone," Lin Tian said, feigning sudden realization. In truth, once he dealt with the angels, he would have the overwhelming power needed to crush them. No matter how strong a demigod was, they could never compare to a True God.
Satisfied with the information he'd gathered, Lin Tian decided to take a brief rest and let Ladrick's spirit recover as well. After all, if he pushed him into madness, there'd be no fun left.
Watching Lin Tian leave, Ladrick let out a long sigh of relief. "Damn goblin… I swear, I'll make you experience ten times my suffering! Lord Beelzebub should return tomorrow—then it will be your end!"
No matter how cunning, strong, or resourceful Lin Tian was, he couldn't possibly stand against a god. That was true, overwhelming power.
Back in the capital city, as Lin Tian passed by the Succubus House, a petite succubus approached him. "Your Majesty, our boss is looking for you. Come with me~"
"Celeste?" Lin Tian was surprised. Since she was inviting him personally, only a fool would refuse.
In her office, Celeste looked shy as she saw Lin Tian. "Dearest Majesty~ I really loved the gift you gave me. I was wondering… wondering if…"
Hearing this, Lin Tian felt something was off. Why was this great Succubus Lord acting so bashful, like a little girl? Growing impatient, he asked, "Just say it. You want more, don't you?"
"Ah!" Celeste jolted as if she'd been caught red-handed. She nodded hesitantly.
Lin Tian's hopes were dashed. "Fine, I'll get you some new ones, but it'll take a little time."
"Wonderful! Thank you, dearest~ I don't have much to repay you with right now, but if you ever need help, don't hesitate to call me. Even if it involves Hell, I'll assist!" Celeste said earnestly, her eyes brimming with gratitude.
This left Lin Tian even more disappointed. What did she mean by having nothing to repay him with? Wasn't she the best gift herself? But he shrugged it off. Forcing things, even if satisfying, wouldn't feel as sweet. A gem like her was worth waiting for the right moment to claim.
Still, he saw a silver lining. Perhaps Celeste could serve as a link to Lucifer someday. She might even help him deal with Gabriel while he focused on other angels. Once he devoured six angels, he could ascend to become a demigod.
"Alright, I'll take my leave. See you next time," Lin Tian said with a bitter smile before departing. As for the artwork she wanted, only the Drawing Demon could create pieces she'd love, so it would take some time.
Meanwhile, in the Uninhabited Zone, space itself trembled. Another Gate of Hell, similar to the one Lucifer had emerged from, was forcibly torn open. From it surged a torrent of terrifying devilish energy, spilling out uncontrollably.
A massive tornado formed at the center of the zone, accompanied by thunderous black clouds and lightning. It was as if the end of the world had arrived. Birds and beasts fled in terror, while even magical creatures cowered and hid, trembling in fear.
From the gate stepped a menacing demon with twin horns jutting from his forehead. Unlike Lucifer's fiery and immense horns, his were smaller and unlit.
This was Beelzebub, one of the Seven Demon Gods.
"Ah~ the air of the mortal realm," Beelzebub exhaled deeply, savoring it. He had no need to disguise himself as human, given he was in the safety of the Uninhabited Zone—his territory. However, his grotesque head tilted slightly as his cold eyes scanned the surroundings. "Hmm? Where are my subordinates? How dare they not come to greet me?"
