Chapter 307 - The Origin of the One-Eyed Owl, Hercules?

The black storm raged uncontrollably, spreading devastation wherever it passed. Along its path, all life perished.

Beelzebub, having transformed into a massive whirlwind, churned through the sky, leading a vast army of demons behind him.

Eventually, the grand Goblin King City appeared in the distance, its prosperity striking even from afar. Beelzebub revealed his true form, hovering in midair as he sneered. "A city like this, built by goblins? It rivals the glory of the Demigod Empire. But soon, it will cease to exist."

His eyes glimmered with a twisted longing to destroy something beautiful.

Similarly, the demon horde below mirrored his craving, their instincts urging them to unleash their evil.

Within Goblin King City, the magical beasts and demi-humans were overwhelmed with terror, their anxiety rising uncontrollably.

"What… what's happening? I feel like I'm about to die, as if I'm in hell!"

"I saw it! It's a demon army! Oh no, what do we do?"

"Beelzebub! The Demon God Beelzebub is here!"

"Are we going to die?!"

The demi-humans standing on elevated positions noticed the abnormality outside the city, their expressions turning pale.

Panic swept through the entire city.

Meanwhile, in the military quarter of Goblin King City, Ladrick was ecstatic. "Hahaha! Lord Beelzebub is here! Finally, my time has come! Those damned goblins, you'll all die horrible deaths!"

Standing atop the city walls, Lin Tian gazed warily at the approaching black storm. "Alice, let Sylph lend us a hand."

Beside him, Alice nodded and began summoning the Wind Spirit.

Moments later, gusts of wind surged around the city walls.

Sylph spread her arms and slowly ascended into the air, her eyes closing as she chanted, "Oh, storm born from the first breath of this world, grant me your strength…"

The winds began to coalesce, growing larger and more ferocious by the second, crashing toward the distant horizon like a tsunami.

Instantly, the suffocating demonic aura blanketing the heavens was blown away. The demon army on the ground faltered, their movements slowing, with some even being forced backward by the storm.

Within the city, demi-humans watching from above cheered with excitement.

"Lady Alice is amazing!!!"

"Wow, did you see that? The Wind Spirit is stunningly beautiful too!"

"But no one can compare to Lady Alice, who's both gorgeous and powerful!"

In the air, Beelzebub smirked slightly. "So the Wind Spirit is on the goblins' side? How amusing. It seems quite a few have fallen, just like us. However…"

He began chanting in an eerie, guttural demonic tongue.

A massive aura surged outward from Beelzebub, forming a towering, indomitable shield that blocked the storm's advance. The demon army resumed its march, pressing closer.

Lin Tian, with his keen senses, raised his hand to halt further action. "That's enough. Master Bill, it's your turn now."

Bill stepped forward confidently, grinning. "Heh, heh! The master craftsman is finally making his appearance. I've been working on something special, not just wasting time with my lovely wives!"

With a flourish, he swung his arm forward.

Boom!

Massive steel machines rolled out, advancing past the assembled defenders.

These machines resembled the war machines used in the campaign against the War Empire but had undergone significant upgrades. They now operated without drivers and were built with an even sturdier alloy.

A dozen machines charged forward, unstoppable.

Beelzebub furrowed his brow. "What are these? Magic tools?"

Caught off guard, the demon horde was thrown into disarray. Demons who tried to attack the machines could do little more than leave teeth marks on the reinforced alloy.

Bill burst into laughter. "Hahaha! You fools! This is Limonium Alloy! Do you know who Limonium is? The man whose armor once withstood a punch from Hercules himself!"

The mindless demons may not have understood, but Beelzebub's eyes widened in disbelief. "Dwarves? Even the dwarves are siding with the goblins…"

Before he could finish speaking—

Whoosh!

A blazing fireball streaked through the air, slamming into the demon horde.

Then, an onslaught of black fireballs rained down, annihilating any demon they touched.

From the sky came the sound of flapping wings.

Hundreds of ancient dragons descended from above, their massive forms blotting out the sun.

Lin Tian smiled faintly. "So, you're here too. But be careful—whatever you do, don't provoke the largest one."

He was, of course, referring to Beelzebub.

[Beelzebub: Lv 100

Overall Strength: 30,001]

As expected, Lin Tian analyzed Beelzebub's stats. A Demon God barely broke the 30,000 combat power threshold.

According to the mythological accounts, before his fall, Beelzebub wasn't even a god; he was merely a high-tier angel.

He was similar to a demigod and only ascended to godhood after obtaining the Demon's Fruit.

However, beings like Lucifer were different. As an angel, he already possessed divine status, akin to Gabriel.

After consuming the Demon's Fruit, Lucifer became even more formidable, his power far surpassing the level of thirty thousand combat strength.

Knowing this, he nodded in understanding.

Even without an in-depth explanation, Beelzebub's terrifyingly monstrous physique exuded a strength entirely on a different level.

At that moment, the mindless demons were being slaughtered en masse.

Despite their numbers, they couldn't breach the mere ten-meter-high walls.

Of course, besides the dwarven machines and dragons, the city walls were also outfitted with advanced defensive mechanisms—jointly designed and crafted by Bill and Lin Tian.

First were the rapid-fire crossbows, a technology unknown in this world.

Next were defensive towers.

These were modeled after a structure Lin Tian had seen in a game he played in the past. At the core of each tower was a magical crystal controlled by a mage, capable of launching powerful attacks under manual control.

Then there were flamethrowers, highly effective in siege defense.

Unfortunately, more advanced weapons like gatling guns and heavy machine guns remained beyond Lin Tian's reach. His vague memories of their construction weren't enough for replication and would require Bill's further research.

Nonetheless, Goblin King City in its current state was already capable of withstanding the assault of any major force.

The only thing they feared was insufficient firepower.

"Impressive, Your Goblin Majesty!"

"Unbelievable! The demon army is said to be an unstoppable force, leaving no life in its wake!"

"The craftsmanship of Bill, the dwarven smith, is remarkable. But honestly, it's the Goblin King himself who makes us feel safest when there are enemies. When there aren't enemies, though…"

"Shh! That's the kind of talk that could cost you your head. Be careful."

"Anyway, we're the first survivors in the world to live through an assault by a demon army in the millions!"

The magical beasts and demi-humans within the city began cheering in excitement, elated at their survival.

Beelzebub stared in disbelief at the scene before him. "A million-strong demon army can't even approach a goblin city? Not even the Demigod Empire could achieve this… This is fascinating. Hahaha. The gods must never have expected such a lowly species to accomplish this."

Even as scores of demons perished, Beelzebub remained unbothered, his shock only stemming from curiosity.

After all, he possessed overwhelming power that rendered such matters irrelevant.

His interest now piqued, he wanted to see just how far Lin Tian and his forces could go.

In just a few hours, the million-strong demon army had been utterly routed, leaving countless corpses in their wake.

The once-fertile land was now desolate and barren, likely incapable of sustaining growth for centuries.

Clap, clap!

Beelzebub finally applauded, a grin spreading across his face. "How intriguing. Who is the master of this city? No, who is the ruler of this entire Wilderness?"

He wanted to confirm whether it was truly a goblin.

Lin Tian, unfazed and here with the intent to slay the god, stepped forward without hesitation. "That would be me. What of it?"

Beelzebub's piercing gaze seemed as if it could see straight through Lin Tian. "Sniff, sniff… You truly are a goblin. How interesting. If you hadn't killed Nanavis, I could've granted you the power of a demon. Your pitiful race could have evolved under my dominion. But alas, today you must die."

As he spoke, he descended slowly to the ground.

Boom!

Although his body was merely three to five meters tall and weighed no more than two tons, his landing felt like the collapse of the heavens.

"I imagine you clawed your way to where you stand now, relying on your intellect and strength, overcoming countless obstacles, and achieving miracle after miracle, correct?"

Beelzebub spoke casually as he began striding toward the city walls, stepping over the crushed remains of the mindless demons.

Lin Tian frowned. This level of confidence was unsettling.

Beelzebub continued, "Hmph. And I bet you're highly self-assured, believing you can solve any problem, am I right? You probably think of yourself as some kind of chosen one, a savior, or even a harbinger of destruction, don't you?"

Lin Tian didn't reply, instead maintaining a cautious gaze on the approaching demon.

As Beelzebub drew closer, the ancient dragons in the sky grew increasingly restless, their agitation spreading.

Within the city, the magical beasts and demi-humans trembled in fear, retreating further as if Death itself was closing in on them.

Facing Beelzebub's overwhelming arrogance, Lin Tian didn't respond verbally but raised his hand in command.

"Throw everything we've got at him."

Szzz… zzz!

The towering defensive towers on the city walls fired beams of blinding light, launching an assault on Beelzebub.

Yet Beelzebub didn't even bother to raise a hand to block. He sneered, "What are you trying to do? Hmm? Do you really think you can kill a god? Hahaha!"

The beams struck his body, but they couldn't leave so much as a mark.

Next came the giant repeating crossbows.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Massive bolts tipped with Limonium Alloy struck Beelzebub, only to shatter instantly and fall harmlessly to the ground.

Even the flamethrowers proved completely ineffective.

It was as if he was entirely immune to elemental damage.

This was beyond astonishing.

Beelzebub continued, "Do you see? This is power. You should have fled, goblin, rather than delude yourself into thinking you could kill a god."

Suddenly—

Slash!

A scorching, radiant Sword Qi Slash cut through the air toward him.

Beelzebub quickly tilted his head, but a streak of black blood oozed from his cheek.

He reached up to wipe the blood with a calm expression, then laughed, "A holy-type attack? Hahaha!!!"

One might have expected him to erupt in fury and retaliate with slaughter.

Instead, he threw his head back and laughed uproariously.

"Jehovah, Gabriel, Michael! You pitiful clowns! Hahaha! Do you see this? Your followers are fighting alongside goblins! Hahaha! It wasn't us who caused the fall, it was you!"

Beelzebub stared at the heavens, as though conversing with unseen entities.

But in the next moment—

A burst of divine light erupted from Lin Tian's hands, unleashing a Judgment Execution that engulfed Beelzebub entirely.

The ground beneath him fractured, sending massive cracks spreading outward.

Seconds later, the light faded.

Beelzebub remained standing, though large swaths of his skin appeared burned. His expression, however, was the most telling—it was twisted into one of utter disbelief, as though he had just swallowed something foul.

"Ah? Ah?! AH?! Goblin, was that Judgment Execution you just used?"

Beelzebub seemed genuinely shocked, his voice rising in disbelief.

Lin Tian responded by unleashing another Judgment Execution directly at him.

Boom!

Even so, Beelzebub proved remarkably resistant to the holy-type attack.

Wasn't this guy supposed to be a demon?

With a combat power of thirty thousand, the gap shouldn't have been this wide.

Beelzebub didn't bother hiding it. He spoke openly, "I was once a high-tier throne angel. Having resistance to holy-type attacks is only natural. I just never expected a goblin to wield Judgment Execution. You're truly fascinating. I almost feel bad about killing you."

Seeing this, the One-Eyed Owl could no longer contain herself. "Hmph! Acting so smug. Let's see how strong you really are…"

Just as she was about to charge, Lin Tian stopped her. "We underestimated the Demon God. I didn't expect him to have holy resistance. Let Sara summon the Three-Life Demon Armor first."

Beelzebub turned his gaze to the One-Eyed Owl with disdain. "Descendant of Hercules? Too bad. If you were a descendant of Zeus, perhaps you'd stand a chance against me. But as a mere grandchild, stepping forward means death."

The One-Eyed Owl's expression darkened. "What did you say? I'm a descendant of Hercules?!"

Everyone was stunned.

Hercules, the legendary King of the Divine Strength Empire, was one of the greatest demigods in history, renowned for countless feats of heroism.

Beelzebub dismissed her question with a scoff. "I have no fondness for Hercules. Why should I answer your question?"

"You'd better… tell me!!!"

Boom!

In an instant, a deep blue aura erupted from the One-Eyed Owl's body—a level beyond crimson.

For strength-based warriors, the color of their aura signified their power: from red to deep red, blue to deep blue, gold, gilded gold, white, and finally flawless.

The next moment, her fist smashed into Beelzebub's face.

To her shock, she was repelled and thrown backward.

Beelzebub chuckled. "You do have a trace of his strength, but you're far too weak."

As he spoke, he reached out to grab her.

The One-Eyed Owl's heart sank as she realized she couldn't dodge in time. Her instincts screamed that being caught would mean death.

Just then—

Swish!

Alice's figure appeared between them in a flash, her sword slashing at Beelzebub's wrist.

The blade pierced his defense, drawing blood.

Beelzebub barely had time to react before his attention was drawn to Lin Tian.

The blood spear in Lin Tian's hands emanated an aura so terrifying that even a demon felt fear.
