Chapter 10: THANKS

Seah’s Point of View

I've been thinking all day about what I can give to Raphael. At least thanking him for helping me earlier. I was almost overwhelmed after the quiz and that's all I could think about.

Though that Cedric guy was almost deaf from nagging. When I didn't really pay attention to him, he gave up on himself and just nags at someone else.

After finishing the last subject, I hurriedly left the room to go around the shops so I could at least get something as a gift.

I am not sure what to give or if he will like what I give him.

“Seah!” someone called out, but I really didn’t have time to look at him. I just ran and ran to get out of school.

When I got out, I was wandering around the shops surrounding the area. While wandering around, I came across an ordinary shop.

It was a keychain shop. And because I was intrigued by the things they were selling, I immediately went in and wandered around.

After a few minutes, I left the shop with a small blue paper bag and decided to go home. I was thinking about leaving this paper bag in front of his door.

And I'll just write a letter later and stick it in the paper bag.

Carrying this, I walked home and unexpectedly saw Raphael walking on the other corner.

He seems tired while holding onto his bag strap. I thought he was walking home but he took a detour.

It would have been better if I had put what I bought in my bag and followed it. I'm not totally familiar so I didn't have anything yet, I just followed it.

I thought about giving the gift personally and maybe he wouldn't accept it or someone else would get it if I just left it. And one more thing, why am I so lazy to write hahaha.

After a while, he stopped in a grassy area and I was shocked to hear him shout that cause me to cover my mouth as he screamed and fell into the ground.

I slowly approached it and quietly sat next to it on the grass. I sat down and just looked in front of me, which was just a beach.

Now I remember where this is. This is what he brought me the other day. After a while, he laughed so hard and sat down. I thought this guy was crazy.

“What are you doing here?” he said and I noticed he had something on his face.

“What happened to your face?” I asked in surprise and he smiled.

“Ahh! this? I didn’t realize someone was entering the room earlier so I hit on the door,” he said and faced the nice view in front of us.

“By the way,” I said first and took out the thing I bought earlier from my bag. I immediately handed it to him which he accepted while frowning.

“What’s this?” he said as I gestured for him to open it.

He then started to open it and he pulled out a silver owl keychain. “That’s for helping me out. And thank you for the coffee earlier,” I said.

“Woah! You should have just said thank you and just don't spent more money for it. But, thank you for this. It's cute, I like it.” I immediately smiled when he took his key.

It was his key to his room and hung it there. He also showed it to me dangling on his keys.

“Thanks Seah,” he stared at me in the eye that I also looked at his dark brown eyes. I then shook my head and immediately stood up and wiped my ass.

“By the way, I'm going to work. Thank you again,” I said goodbye and immediately backed away. As much as I wanted to witness the sunset, I didn't have time.

“Be careful! And take care,” he said after this statement, which I just nodded and hurriedly left.

[At the keychain shop]

When I entered, I immediately looked around the whole shop. I saw a lot of cute stuff and the smell of some stuff toys and keychains felt soothing. I saw a lot of fish tales, pandas, zodiac sign keychains, spirit animas, etc.

I was about to grab the panda when I remembered I wasn't going to give myself a gift. I held back and again tried to find another one that he would probably take.

And after I had been wandering around for a few minutes, a sales lady was also looking at me because I couldn't choose.

“What are you looking for, ma'am?” the sales lady asked as she approached me. “Ahm! I was about to give someone a gift,” I said softly.

“Owww Boyfriend? Ayeiiiiii!” I was holding back from hitting this unbelievable sales lady, so I just shook my head.

“Oh, No, I haven’t known him for a few days. I just wanted to buy a thank you gift,” I said, but this girl didn’t want to believe it.

“What kind of special person is he?” I scratched my head in disbelief while smiling plastically. I really didn’t want to believe it, but girl was desperate.

“Ahh I don’t really know him yet, I guess, just wanted to give him a gift for helping me.” I replied. Remembering how he helped me a couple of times makes me feel like I should really get him something.

“This might suit him,” the sales lady then handed me a silver owl-colored keychain.

“This little Owl charm is a symbol of Wisdom, Protection & Transition. It must be important to you to give it to him, right?” I nodded.

It was really awkward knowing that this girl was wrong. “It's also beautiful and he also looks like an owl so it will fit him,” remembering that he was always awake at night, which is why I liked that keychain.

“How much?” I asked and saw that there was a price and I was about ready to pay the price the woman had indicated when she spoke.

“Just one hundred for you,” I looked at the woman who was smiling at me in surprise.

I immediately paid for it, which he wrapped up and put in a blue paper bag.
