Since the Graysons are in  this life, she will get her revenge.

"This doesn't make sense," Morgan said.

"What doesn't make sense?" Julie asked, and she swiped through her phone. Her eyes were pinned on the schedule. But Morgan didn't reply. So she continued, "When would you like to go back to work? Your schedule is full, I can cancel some of your appointments," She said.

Morgan massaged her temples, "Jules, can we talk about the schedule some other time?" She wasn't ready.

"Fine," Julie said, closing the schedule. Morgan moved into the bed and rested her back on the frame. Staring at the back of Julie's head.

"Oh my goodness. Ivanna, you need to see this." Morgan sensed the urgency in Julie's voice and moved out, reaching to take the iPad that was given to her by Julie.

"What's this about?" Morgan's eyes moved across the screen.

"Liam just posted about you being in the hospital," Julie explained, scooting over and pointing to the headline.

"Ivanna couldn't be my date because she was in the hospital, Socialist Liam claims,"

Morgan furrowed her brows, confusion etched in them. Who is Liam?

"This jerk, how could he say that? He could have gone with anyone. Why did he decide to go alone and drag you into a mess with him?" She hissed loudly.

There was a party two days ago, where some elites in the society were invited. Ivanna had previously turned down the invitation, especially because Liam wouldn't stop asking her to be his date.

Morgan scrolled up and read the contents, after which she read the comments.

Liam had gone live on a social media handle, and someone had asked about Ivanna.

This can't be what she thinks.

"Can I see his photo?" Morgan asked.

"Why would you want to see this loser's photo?" Julie is puzzled. Ivanna hates Liam.

Because her marriage to Slade had not been announced to the public, everyone thought Ivanna was single, so there were men always lined up professing love for her, ready to take her out. At the front line was Liam Grayson.

"System, what's this all about? Why is Liam here in this life?" Morgan asked, hoping the monotone voice only she could hear would speak.

Although Julie didn't understand why Ivanna would request Liam's photo, she browsed the internet for his photo. She didn't need to browse for long.

Ding!

[System notification: host seems confused about this world.]

Of course I am.

[Ding, new task created.]

[Understand this life in the next ten minutes and get +20 VP, +5 EXP]

You know you could have just explained, right?

[I've done enough explaining. Besides, you still have to prove that you're smart.]

I should have known you always want things to be hard for me.

Ding!

[I'm here to assist you in achieving your heart's desires, not give it to you on a platter of gold.]

Oh wow.

Morgan didn't reply to the system, knowing it was all fruitless banter. She wouldn't get anything in return; she'd rather project that energy into fulfilling her task.

Ding!

[Reminder: Understand this life in the next 10 mins. Your timer starts now.]

A timer appeared in front of her. She was the only one who could see it. The hand of the clock ticked slowly. Morgan ran a hand through her hair. Her gaze shifted to Julie, who had been staring at her all along.

"You good?' Julie asked.

She was beginning to get concerned. She watched as Morgan's expression kept switching, from confusion, to worry, to anger, then irritation and now finally, resignation.

"Yes," Morgan said and then smiled, but the smile didn't reach her eyes.

Julie passed her the iPad. Morgan drew her brows together.

She stared at a picture of Liam.

Liam Grayson. She adopted her brother in her last life.

He hated her and had asked for her to leave. He was always cold to her. But in this life, the same brother wanted her.

She didn't know what to feel.

If Liam Grayson is here in this life, then the Grayson family would be too.

"I'm sorry, Ivy, it's all my fault," Julie began,, and Morgan lifted her head to hold her eyes.

"What's all your fault?" She questioned.

"The young masters had requested that news of your accident be kept away from the public. So no one knew you were in the hospital. But then Liam cornered me and asked about you. I tried to brush him off, but he was persistent, so I ended up telling him about your accident." She explained, and then she stared at her hand on her lap, waiting for Ivanna to express her disapproval of her act. But it didn't come.

"Okay. There's no need to worry, people are bound to find out sooner or later," she said and then asked.

"Does Liam…" she swallowed. "Does Liam have a family?"

"Yes… Why?" Why would she ask that?

"Can I see?"

Strange. Julie thought. This was unlike Ivanna. But she found a photo online.

Three minutes have passed.

She passed the iPad to Morgan.

Rage rushed through her chest as Ivanna looked at the photo.

They were there, the entire family. They all looked the same. Her eyes were fixed on Vera. She trails Vera's face with a glare.

An unfamiliar face caught her eye.

"Who is this girl?" She asked, pointing to the girl who stood with the biggest smile, but she stood inches away from the rest, or it was best to say they stood inches away from her.

One could easily tell that she wasn't all welcomed by them.

"That's Anna."

Huh?

"She is the daughter they found two years ago. They brought her out from an orphanage."

Morgan felt her head beginning to spin.

She asked about the orphanage, and it was the same one they got her from.

She felt her gaze soften as she stared at the girl. In this life, she isn't the daughter of the Graysons.

She is a Wellington and not the Graysons' trash. In this life, she had those who willingly loved her, but she didn't want love.

Something shifted within her, and her gaze reddened.

They had embarrassed her, driven her and caused her death.

Life has given her another chance. In this life, she'd be the villain. She will take her revenge. Since the Graysons are in this life, she will get her revenge.

She handed the iPad back, her chest still felt hot from rage.

She quickly summarises what she has discovered in her head.

She has been reborn two months earlier, and is now with a new identity, a husband and family that adore her. Liam likes her, and the Graysons who killed her are here in this life. There is also a girl living with them, occupying the place she had stayed in.

She had two minutes more, she closed her eyes and inhaled a scent of breath, still processing her thoughts.

But what she didn't understand was why Liam likes her if she is married to Masks.

"Is my marriage with Masks a secret?" She asked. That was the only explanation.

"Yes." Julie nodded, staring at Morgan, who had her eyes closed; she looked deep in thought.

Did Ivanna really hurt her head? She wondered.

It all makes sense. She opened her eyes.

Ding!

[Task completed]

[You have fully comprehended your life.]

[Congratulations, you've gained +20 VP, +5 EXP.]

Morgan couldn't help the smile that crawled to her face.

Everything in this life was the same as in her past life, but this time she had the upper hand over everyone.

She knew everything that would happen in the next two months and had a system.

Getting back at them would be easy. But before that, she has to understand everything about Ivanna and learn about her new life.

Ding!

[New task: Get out of the hospital in 2 hours. Avoid reporters.]

[Reward: Unlock new level, earn +100 VP, +10 Charm]

Morgan was puzzled. How was she expected to do that? She doesn't know anything about where to go or which hospital she is currently in.

She may have understood this life, but she still needed more information about Ivanna to perform that task.

Ding!

[Side quest]

[Get information from

m a friend (Julie) without raising her suspicions.] Morgan just nodded. She didn't question the system.

[Reward: +4 charm, unlock new title]

Okay, that shouldn't be very hard.
