After dying in a plane crash, a passionate anime and manga fan finds himself reincarnated in the dangerous world of Solo Leveling, where dungeons appear, monsters roam, and Hunters fight for survival. But unlike others, he didn’t awaken with swords or magic—his power is... being an Otaku?
At first, he believes his ability is useless, only able to summon weak weapons. But everything changes when he starts drawing manga from his past life—and they go viral. Now, every time one of his works gains popularity, he can summon its characters into reality with their full powers.
From nostalgic childhood heroes to god-like anime beings, he begins building his own overpowered army. But power comes at a cost. To summon a true legend, he must pass their test—be it a battle of strength, ideals, or heart.
Can an Otaku survive in a world of Hunters? Or will his imagination become the greatest weapon this world has ever seen?
Maybe I just have very high standards due to having read many fanfictions over the past decade, but I found this story boring. It's pace is slow and the character is not interesting enough to keep you focused on the story. Not to mention that I read till chapter 7 and the character was still only guessing on how his power works, which again, hadn't been explained very well either. Maybe it's intentional. Maybe the author just wants to keep the story realistic. But sometimes, making something too realistic ends up making it boring. I personally felt that just having a System that explained to MC how his power worked would've served the story better. In the end, I wouldn't say that the story is bad. But it's nothing exceptional either. If you have free time in your hand then go ahead and give it a try. Maybe you might like it.
