In short: it's a book set in a futuristic utopian Earth where humans with superpowers exist and are worshipped by regular people. As you can imagine, they're split into clans, empires, and all that leads to tons of conflict and chaos. The protagonist is a young guy just trying to survive — but he’s an anomaly. He has a unique power that keeps getting more and more insane as the story goes on. On top of that, he got access to a book containing all the knowledge about the world, stuff no one else even dreams of knowing. The core of the story might seem pretty standard, but it’s super fun. The author constantly brings in surprising and different ideas, keeping a good balance between clichés and fresh situations. The book doesn’t try to be some kind of genius masterpiece — it’s pure entertainment packed with creativity. For me, it’s a 10/10 read.
Another excellent book from the author. It’s very well written and has fascinating worldbuilding. The main characters have layers that slowly unfold—they’re not one-dimensional or empty. This isn’t a comedy, and there’s no direct system or cultivation. It’s a solid mix of action, combat, and a dark touch. For someone who loves dragon girls, this book definitely earns extra points :D The best part of the author’s style—refined since his last story—is that the book isn’t slow or dragged out. There’s no time wasted on useless stuff, and the MC is always moving forward. At the same time, there’s always a thoughtful, deeper layer if you feel like digging into it. This is clearly a sequel to Duality of Shadows. You don’t need to have read the previous book—it stands perfectly on its own—but if you did, you’ll recognize a few characters and elements showing up here. That adds an extra layer of fun—makes you wonder what happened between the two stories, and why certain characters are acting the way they are now. If you’re into something that looks simple and interesting on the surface, but can go much deeper if you want it to—this is absolutely worth reading.

Although I’m quite sad that this author doesn’t often add romance to their novels, they’re pretty well known for their other novel. They deliver quite well usually, and I myself like the premise of this one I think~
As of right now, the two main characters of the story are trying to get back what was lost a long time ago due to the risen's attacks. I'm personally intrigued by the fact they have such huge trust on the other part even though they barely know each other. But then again, it's not like there is anything wrong with it. Hope this next arc is good.
I really liked the concept of the book. The MC moves between two very different settings: Earth and another universe. He has different abilities in each one and ends up reacting in different ways in lots of situations. On Earth, it’s all more individual — he needs to get stronger and act directly with his own skills. But in the other universe, a magical world, there are lots of unknown factors and resources he can use to his advantage.
It’s a good story, with a rare well-written protagonist. Darian isn’t that typical MC who’s super arrogant and always knows everything, solving every problem in a cool and easy way. He’s just a young guy figuring things out bit by bit. In the first chapters, he doesn’t understand anything about his powers or the world, so he hesitates a lot. Not out of fear, but because he feels lost. He does his best to find solutions to his problems; sometimes he acts arrogantly, other times he looks like an idiot… in short, he’s a normal person with flaws. But don’t get it twisted: in the end, the MC always finds a way. What changes is that the path to get there usually takes some pretty weird detours.
So, the story itself isn't bad. I'm just not that big fan of the interaction between the two main protagonists and that overly 'fan-service' approach. But, ignoring that part, the setting is pretty good. Our world changing the way it did and how we now have contact with over civilizations out there. Above all, the need for us to help others since we have no choice. Let's see what will happen later.
I like the other universe where he is a slug a lot more than I could ever like the home universe. Honestly the away universe is a 10, the home universe is -10. I don’t like female sexual violence being used as a plot point at all, and especially not if the r*pist is just kept around forever. Can’t say I ever get more immersed, it doesn’t make me want to read more…it actually makes me break the 4th wall and question why the author added it more than anything
