Chapter 4. The truth

As they sat around the fire, he was getting more and more anxious. The silence and anticipation were killing him. After a while the man spoke

"I'll get straight to the point as I don't like to tiptoe in conversations. As you may have guessed I am the Guardian of Tornell, or so I think of myself. I keep it safe from outsiders. Well mostly. I couldn't stop the military from coming here. Commander named Shadow stopped me before I even got a chance. I barely survived due to the innate power of the Omniblades."

These sentences left Taiji even more confused. He didn't have a clue what the Guardian was talking about. What were the so called Omniblades? The anticipation was killing him but he refrained from speaking.

"There will be a time for questions later, don't interrupt" the man said already sensing Taiji's need for answers."There are 11 Omniblades in total", he continued,"each one of them holds a specific power. You and I posses one Blade each. My Blade has power of foresight, yours has the power of dimensions. The powers vary from individual to individual, but fundamental powers stay the same. Each one of us possesses a dimension that we can enter at will, though at a high cost of our Power stamina. The stronger the attack, or any move for that matter, the more Stamina is consumed. When you run out you won't be able to move"

"How do you know all this?" Taiji interrupted. He was too eager to know the answers he longed for such a long time.

"I have quite a good memory. My father told me before he went on to war. Though he was against your father. My dad was the left hand of The Dark One. My knowledge of the war ends here I'm afraid, he never told me anything else. He did teach about the Blades. The only other thing I know that I didn't tell you about is my name. Its Toby."

Overwhelmed by information, Taiji let out a deep sigh. He was disappointed he didn't learn anything new about his father, but at the same time he was glad to have met Toby. He learned more about his sword and it's origin.

The mysterious symbol on his sword began glowing the moment Taiji thought about Jigen. Or rather the moment he subconsciously called to it. The same happened to Toby's sword.

"What's this glow Toby? Do you know it? Have you ever seen it?" Asked Taiji

"No, this is new even for me. What the fuck is happening" Tony said

The symbols on the other 9 Omniblades began glowing as well, unbeknownst to both of them.

Somewhere far away, 2 blades began glowing even more brightly and strikingly that others. 2 hands picked them up and the shadowed figures of those men moved quickly. Their mission began.
