But during an expedition to the mysterious Forest of Black Ashes, a cursed area where even the most powerful knights feared to tread, he was betrayed by his own allies. Under the pretext of protecting the group, Eren was sacrificed and abandoned to certain death. The forest was a living labyrinth, haunted by nightmarish monsters, vengeful spirits and an ancient evil known as ‘The Scourge of the Shadows’.



Yet Eren did not die. Wounded and exhausted, he came face to face with a primordial entity, a fragment of the Scourge of Shadows, who offered him a pact: ‘Reject your old life and become the guardian of the Forest of Black Ashes’. In despair, Eren accepted, renouncing his humanity.
