I’ve always been fond of beautiful butterflies.

As a child, whenever I saw a colorful-winged butterfly fluttering over flowers in the garden, I would chase after it wildly—

And I almost always managed to catch it.

Even then, I would hold its delicate wings gently,

Afraid the vibrant colors might rub off onto my fingers.

Then, I would place it inside a glass jar.



“You’re so cruel and heartless,”

Bali would say with a mix of shock and
