"…What is this?"
Nawaki and the others were momentarily stunned as they stared at the text floating on the light screen.
The previous mission had at least hinted through its wording that it took place in a minor shinobi village in the Land of Bears. But this one…
Giants? Walls? Human survivors? What on earth did that mean?
Even Nawaki, who usually carried himself like a seasoned veteran, wore a blank expression.
"Could it be… we've already arrived in another world? We're no longer in the Shinobi World?" Minato asked in disbelief, even though the words sounded absurd coming out of his own mouth.
Ever since becoming curious about the Lord God's exchange list, Minato had deliberately studied everything it said. One line in particular echoed in his mind:
[Every month, I will summon you to different locations to complete missions—some in this world, others in entirely different ones.]
The others also recalled that sentence, their hearts brimming with confusion.
Had they truly crossed into another world? Was the Lord God really that powerful?
BOOM!!
A deafening crash suddenly ripped through the wooden walls around them, shaking the entire structure.
An instant later—
A sharp whistling tore through the air as a massive chunk of stone crashed down onto the building they were in. The fragile wooden structure didn't stand a chance and was instantly smashed to pieces.
By sheer luck, the room they were in happened to be near the edge of the destruction. Only one wall was obliterated, revealing the chaotic scene outside.
The dusky glow of the world painted the sky a sickly yellow.
The streets were filled with panicked wails and screams. People were stampeding in one direction, fleeing as though pursued by monsters.
From Nagato and Yahiko's angle, they could see the opposite end of the fleeing crowd—a massive city wall.
Atop that wall… an enormous, skinless head peered over, its cold, expressionless gaze sweeping across the chaos. Steam billowed off its body in thick white clouds.
The sight left the three boys utterly stunned.
What kind of monster was this?! Its sheer size was beyond comprehension!
And then—something even more horrifying occurred.
At the ruined city gate—smashed open by that colossal Titan—"people" began stumbling in.
They looked human. Human faces, human limbs. But their proportions were twistedly exaggerated.
Though slow-looking, their long strides made them faster than the average person.
And every one of them wore a bizarre, skin-crawling grin.
Like wolves among sheep, the Titans easily snatched fleeing humans from the streets and stuffed them into their mouths—biting down mercilessly!
Blood sprayed.
"Damn it!"
"What the hell are these monsters?!"
Yahiko roared in fury and charged forward—only to slam against an invisible barrier just before he could leap out of the room.
Even Nagato, usually reserved and quiet, let out a furious snarl and pounded his fists against the unseen wall.
Minato clenched his jaw, a kunai already tightly gripped in his hand.
As war orphans who had known pain, Yahiko and Nagato yearned deeply for peace.
Thanks to Jiraiya's teachings, they still harbored kind, innocent hearts.
To witness these creatures devouring humans alive—cruel, mindless slaughter—was unbearable.
They had seen the Titans with their own eyes.
And now their fury burned like wildfire.
Then the Lord God's cold voice echoed once again.
[Mission will begin in ten minutes. Prepare yourselves.]
"Damn it!"
"Let us out now! We'll kill those Titans ourselves!"
Yahiko and Nagato shouted angrily.
Their eagerness to fight was remarkable.
After yelling a few more times and getting no response from the Lord God, the two boys finally calmed themselves, suppressing their emotions.
Weapons in hand, they stood ready, awaiting the countdown.
Even Minato looked grim, veins bulging on the back of his hand.
Though not born into peace, he had grown up in prosperous Konoha. This was the first time he'd seen such a brutal scene.
If not for his naturally calm temperament, he might have lost control like the others.
Nawaki remained silent.
He slowly unsheathed the short sword strapped to his back and gripped it tightly.
The atmosphere grew tense and heavy. The only sounds were the distant screams and sobs.
Even when Titans wandered nearby, they didn't seem to notice the four within the barrier.
Eventually, the Lord God's voice rang out again.
[Commencing the Mission. Protective barrier removed.]

Meanwhile
After the Colossal Titan smashed open the gate, countless regular Titans flooded into Shiganshina District.
People frantically swarmed toward the inner wall's gate, trying to flee into Wall Maria.
At the same time, groups boarded evacuation boats sailing upriver deeper into the walled territory.
"This boat is full! The rest of you wait for the next one!" a Garrison Regiment soldier shouted while trying to maintain order.
On one crowded vessel…
A black-haired boy sat silently on the deck, his expression shadowed and tears welling in his eyes.
Beside him, a girl with short black hair hugged her knees, her gaze hollow.
Then—
The boy clenched his fists.
His tears finally overflowed, streaming down his face as he ground his teeth and growled:
"Kill them all…"
"Eren?" Mikasa looked at him, stunned.
But Eren didn't notice her. He stared hatefully toward the crumbling city gates, tears dripping from his cheeks.
"Not a single one of them… should be allowed to live. Kill them all!"
BOOM!!
As if answering his cry, a thunderous boom echoed across the yellow sky.
Before everyone's eyes, a muscular Titan burst through another gate in Wall Maria—time seemed to freeze.
One by one, those grinning monstrosities strode in.
Panic and despair were etched on every human face.
Wall Maria… had fallen?
But just then—
The ground at the breached gate suddenly swelled.
From beneath the earth, massive wooden roots erupted and intertwined, twisting together into a colossal wooden gate.
It rose up—perfectly sealing the shattered opening in Wall Maria.
People's expressions of horror and hopelessness froze on their faces.
