Everyone said I was Alpha Damon's whole world.
Beneath his cold exterior, he once wiped out an enemy wolf pack at my word, yet when I was critically wounded by the "Soul-Devouring Curse," he prioritized saving his foster sister Seraphina's moonstone.
The moonstone scorched his palm, but he remained oblivious, clutching the stone tightly from the ruins—it once belonged to Seraphina, the sole anchor for his forbidden feelings for her.
He growled, nearly manic:
"Seraphina, since you left, my world has been devoid of moonlight."
"I've remained faithful to you for three years, at least leave me something to hold onto."
So it turns out my existence was merely a shield for his forbidden love, a tool with the bloodline of a lunar priestess.
I closed my eyes in despair, allowing the curse to consume me.
When I opened eyes again, I was back on the day of the fated mate declaration ceremony with Damon.
Try learning your main characters’ names. Your antagonist had 2 different names and one of those names had 2 different spellings. This story is short enough there is no excuse for this issue, especially not when it is a main character.
