“Proposal Interrupted: Why Is There a Third Bride?!”

Volume 4: Heaven's Proposal: I Accidentally Got Engaged to an Angel and a Demon (At the Same Time)

Chapter 21 – "Proposal Interrupted: Why Is There a Third Bride?!"

---

Kai awoke with a warm celestial wing draped across his chest.

And a sinfully soft demon tail curled around his waist.

He didn't know whether to smile, scream, or pray for amnesia.

Until the bed exploded.

Literally.

Feathers, sparks, and bits of velvet rained from the ceiling as Yui burst through the wall in a maid outfit and combat boots, holding a glowing scroll.

"Kai! Emergency system update!"

Elyssaria groaned and sat up, glowing faintly. "You couldn't wait until after breakfast?"

Malvexa stretched, tail uncoiling. "If someone's dying, it better not be him. I haven't ruined his soul yet."

Yui tossed the scroll into Kai's lap.

It unrolled on its own.

> WARNING: Divine Love Protocol Instability Detected.

You are now the registered fiancé of: Elyssaria (Heaven), Malvexa (Hell)… and Third Unknown Entity: Classification Redacted.

"Excuse me?" Kai said. "Third?"

Yui blinked. "You really don't remember?"

"…Remember what?!"

A distant bell tolled.

Reality cracked.

And a new figure descended—graceful, silent, and wrapped in silver mist.

The air bent.

So did time.

And Kai's brain decided now was a great time to try and reboot.

---

She Appears

Her feet touched the ground with the soft chime of ancient bells.

Hair like stardust. Eyes like voids filled with dreams.

She wore a gown made of flowing paradox, and every step she took rewrote the laws of attraction.

Kai clutched the sheets.

"W-Who—?"

She smiled, and galaxies wept.

"I am Caelith," she said, voice echoing across dimensions. "The Forgotten Bride."

Elyssaria's eyes widened. "Impossible. She was erased from the Heavenly Records."

Malvexa hissed. "No one erases me from memory. Who the hell are you to claim our glitch?"

Caelith floated closer.

"I am the one Kai proposed to… before he was even born."

Everyone froze.

Except Yui, who took popcorn from nowhere and whispered, "Oooh, retro-fiancée twist. Nice."

---

Flashback (Sort of)

A flicker of forbidden memory surged through Kai.

He saw himself—not as himself—but as a drifting soul in a collapsing timeline.

He had made a wish in the void.

A wish for love that transcended war, time, and reality.

A voice had answered.

"Then bind yourself to me, and I will wait across lifetimes."

The memory shattered.

Kai gasped. "I… I did."

Elyssaria clenched her fists. "But you love me."

Malvexa snarled. "And you lust for me."

Caelith's gaze was neither angry nor jealous.

"Then perhaps he is meant for all of us."

---

The Third Trial Begins

A giant ethereal UI blinked to life:

> Trial 3: Balance of Hearts – The Union or the Collapse

Goal: Choose. Or redefine choice.

Reward: Divine Stabilization… or Cataclysmic Heartbreak.

The arena shifted again—this time into a giant wedding chapel in the middle of a rift in space-time.

Three altars. Three paths.

One Kai.

"You want me to marry all three?" he asked.

Yui shrugged. "Polygamy has a rich tradition in most mythologies. Also makes for stellar drama."

Kai looked at the three women.

Elyssaria, radiant and fierce with her unshakable morals.

Malvexa, seductive and wild, with loyalty hidden under her claws.

And Caelith, ethereal, eternal, the love he never meant to find… yet somehow did.

His heart stuttered.

"What if I… can't choose?"

Caelith smiled gently.

"Then let us choose you."

---

Shared Vows (Glitched Edition)

Suddenly, each woman stepped forward—united, for once.

Elyssaria took his left hand.

Malvexa his right.

Caelith hovered just above, pressing her forehead to his.

They spoke in harmony:

"We claim not pieces of you, but the whole.

In love, in battle, in broken code.

May your heart be flawed, but ours together."

The chapel trembled.

The system screamed:

> UNRECOGNIZED POLY-BINDING EVENT DETECTED.

ERROR: LOVE OVERFLOW.

ENGAGEMENT LOCK CONFIRMED.

---

Aftermath

Kai stood in the shattered chapel, breathing hard.

Three women looked at him.

Each from different heavens. Each from different hells.

And somehow, they were all his.

Yui walked in with a new scroll.

"Sooo, update. You now have triple divine engagement status. That makes you legally responsible for one apocalyptic prophecy, two weddings, a blood moon honeymoon, and... uh, a baby phoenix?"

Kai blinked. "What?!"

"Don't worry," she said. "It's symbolic."

Pause.

"…Mostly."

Kai dropped to his knees.

"I just wanted to flirt with a goddess."

Yui grinned.

"You're married to three."
