After creating a grave for Enel—this ambitious man who had once held the stars and the sea in his heart—Chiga used Earth Release to shape the mound. Suddenly, a pulse of lightning flickered in his left eye.
Above Skypiea, thunderclouds gathered, filling the sky as the continuous roar of thunder echoed overhead.
Seeing the ominous display, Gan Fall and Conis exchanged uneasy glances. Had Chiga lost after all? Could Enel have truly been that terrifying?
Boom!
Thick, cyan lightning bolts crashed down from the sky, forcing Gan Fall and Conis to shield their eyes instinctively.
The barrage of lightning continued for a moment before gradually subsiding. When they cautiously opened their eyes, they were surprised to find themselves completely unharmed.
What was going on? Were those lightning strikes not aimed at them?
Gan Fall quickly summoned his mount, Pierre—a Skypiea Bird who had eaten the Horse-Horse Fruit and could take on the form of a pegasus.
He climbed aboard, and Conis followed, mounting behind him. Together, they soared into the skies toward Enel's palace.
Whatever had happened, they couldn't ignore it. Whether Chiga had won or lost, they were now deeply involved, and Enel's judgment awaited them if Chiga had fallen. They had to confirm the outcome of the battle.
When they arrived at the palace ruins, they were struck speechless.
What greeted them was a landscape of destruction. The once-grand palace was now a heap of shattered stone and scorched earth. Sitting calmly beside a small mound of freshly turned soil was Chiga, wearing a faint smile as he looked up at them.
"Brother Chiga!"
Seeing him safe, Conis felt the weight in her chest lift. She leapt from the pegasus and ran toward him without hesitation. This time, she didn't hold back—she threw herself into his arms.
She looked up at him with teary eyes and sobbed, "It's so good you're alright, Brother Chiga! When all that lightning came down, I thought you had lost to Enel!"
Chiga gently patted her back and said softly, "It's okay. Enel is dead. He's buried in the mound next to me. That lightning earlier… I released it."
"You released it?"
"Mm."
Chiga's left eye flashed with brilliant light. A moment later, a bolt of lightning struck not far from where they stood, making Conis yelp in surprise.
She stared at the crater left behind, then looked up at him in disbelief.
"Brother Chiga… you can use electricity too?"
"Heh. Enel wasn't the only one capable of that. There are a few creatures in the sea that can discharge electricity."
(Yeah, Like Kaido)
"Really? That's amazing! But I bet none of them are as strong as you, Brother Chiga!"
"Maybe. I wonder how I'd compare to Big Mom's Zeus."
"Who's Big Mom?"
"A pirate. Oh, right—I never told you. I'm a Marine."
"A Marine? I've heard a little about them. For justice, right? Hehe!"
Chiga watched her playful smile and shook his head with a helpless grin. He picked her up and set her aside, then stood and dusted himself off.
But Conis wasn't done. She tugged on his sleeve and asked excitedly, "Brother Chiga, you're actually a Skypiean too, right?"
"Huh?"
A large question mark practically appeared above Chiga's head. When did he ever become associated with Skypiea?
Seeing his stunned silence, Conis became even more certain of her conclusion. She tilted her chin proudly and declared, "I saw that purple giant you summoned. It had huge wings—way bigger than ours! You must be a Skypiean too, just hiding your wings because your power is too strong, right?"
"…Idiot."
Chiga flicked her forehead, making her wince and hold her head with a pout.
She stared at him with big, watery eyes, thinking he was upset she'd discovered his "secret."
Chiga sighed and explained, "I'm really not a Skypiean. I'm from the Uchiha clan. That purple giant is the guardian deity of my clan, not my true form."
"Ah… I see…"
Gan Fall, who had been quietly observing their interaction, finally stepped forward. He approached Chiga carefully and asked, "Lord Chiga… the lightning just now—who was it aimed at?"
"Oh. Some of Enel's remaining followers. I didn't want them causing any more trouble."
"I see…"
Gan Fall nodded, though inwardly he was shaken. This power—lightning that struck from the heavens—had once been Enel's most terrifying ability. Now it belonged to someone else: this quiet young man from the Blue Sea.
He knew better than most how dangerous such an ability was. Against it, no one had a place to hide. It was terrifyingly absolute.
Even as he struggled to keep his composure, Gan Fall couldn't help but wonder what Chiga planned to do with Skypiea now that Enel was gone.
Suddenly, footsteps approached. A group emerged from the forest—some dressed like primitives, others were Skypieans.
Leading them was the war-hardened Wyper and the young woman Laki, both from the anime.
They had only just reached adulthood, and Aisa, still a child, was cradled in Laki's arms.
Despite his youth, Wyper's strength already surpassed most of his tribe, making him their de facto leader. Upon seeing Gan Fall, he approached to ask what had happened.
Gan Fall glanced briefly at Chiga and then explained that Enel had been defeated by the man standing beside him.
Wyper's eyes widened. So did everyone else's.
Laki looked at Chiga, stunned. In her mind, Wyper was already the strongest warrior in their tribe, and Enel was an untouchable force of nature. But now someone even stronger had appeared—and he was so young.
Chiga, who had remained still this whole time, suddenly took a step forward.
Thud.
That single step caused the entire group to instinctively back away in fear.
Conis giggled. "What are you all doing? You're making Brother Chiga look like a monster!"
Gan Fall rolled his eyes at her. You're too carefree. Do you even understand what your "Brother Chiga" is capable of? He's the one who just wiped out Enel…
Still reeling, Wyper couldn't fully accept it. He had seen Enel's power firsthand—and yet this stranger had defeated him. He stepped forward cautiously and said, "I mean no disrespect… but may I witness your power? Just once. It's hard to believe Enel was truly defeated like that…"
Chiga glanced at him.
With that single look, the hair on Wyper's body stood on end. He instantly regretted asking. The pressure alone nearly made his knees buckle.
But Chiga didn't hold it against him. Wyper had always been a headstrong warrior in the anime. He decided to satisfy the man's curiosity.
Chiga's left eye sparkled with light. In the next moment, a thick pillar of lightning crashed down from the sky, striking the ruins behind Wyper.
Boom!
The already ruined stone was instantly reduced to scorched debris. Smoke curled into the air.
Wyper stood frozen in place, jaw slack, as the blast's heat washed over him.
He got his answer.
