Chapter 153: Douglas Bullet.

Magellan once again acted as the coroner. He walked up to Devon, carefully examined her, and then nodded, confirming that the man was indeed dead.

Chiga stepped out of the prison cell. He glanced at Kalifa with a faint smile and whispered in her ear,

"I've got the gift. I'll give it to you when we get back."

Kalifa was stunned. She knew that Devon had the Dog-Dog Fruit, Mythical Zoan: Nine-Tailed Fox model. She had assumed Chiga killed him to absorb the Devil Fruit ability himself.

After all, the Nine-Tailed Fox Fruit was an incredibly rare Mythical Zoan. Its special abilities aside, the physical enhancements it granted alone made it one of the best.

She never expected that Chiga intended to gift her such a valuable fruit. But to her, more than the fruit itself, it was Chiga's thoughtfulness that mattered most.

Looking at his face so close to hers, Kalifa couldn't help but press her lips against his. Unfortunately, they were still in the prison, with Magellan nearby.

If they were in Chiga's office instead, she would've had much more freedom to express her appreciation.

Receiving a kiss from his secretary, Chiga's smile grew even wider.

To him, a Mythical Zoan fruit was nothing compared to making his secretary happy.

Besides, the transformation ability of the Nine-Tailed Fox wasn't of any use to him. At most, it was just a disguise trick.

Even if the fruit held deeper powers beyond transformation, Chiga didn't care.

Kalifa belonged to him, and whatever abilities she had were essentially his as well. It wasn't something that would benefit anyone else.

Behind them, Magellan watched the scene unfold, force-fed a healthy dose of PDA. He rubbed his backside, suddenly missing the peace and solitude of the toilet.

But his task wasn't over, and Chiga wouldn't let him off the hook. If Magellan really wanted to use the bathroom, Chiga even had a method to help him.

That method? Using the Op-Op Fruit to separate Magellan's lower half, allowing it to visit the toilet on its own.

Meanwhile, Chiga could control Magellan's upper half with the Deva Path's power and make it float ahead to lead the way. A very simple and, in Chiga's eyes, efficient solution.

Thankfully, Magellan didn't say anything about needing the toilet, or Chiga might've actually gone through with his plan for "human-buttocks separation."

Magellan continued to lead Chiga through Impel Down. This time, however, his expression was much heavier than during the previous two visits. Not because he needed the bathroom—no, this time, it was real concern.

The reason? Chiga had asked him to lead them to the cell of Douglas Bullet, a former member of the Roger Pirates, known as the "Demon Heir."

This guy was a monster. Physically powerful, proficient in Haki, and a formidable Devil Fruit user. He had pushed all aspects of combat to terrifying heights.

And yet, like so many overpowered characters, he was ultimately relegated to a non-canon movie—just so Monkey D. Luffy could score a big experience boost.

Movie status aside, Bullet's strength in Impel Down was undeniably among the top three.

Compared to the grim-faced Magellan, Chiga—walking behind—looked completely relaxed.

Bullet hadn't returned to his peak condition. Years of imprisonment and exposure to Seastone had weakened him considerably. For Chiga, killing him would be no different from squashing an insect.

Even if this were Bullet at full strength, Chiga wouldn't hesitate. In his mind, it would just be another Devil Fruit collected.

With Magellan's increasingly cautious steps, they arrived at Bullet's cell.

This time, Magellan didn't even wait for a command. He opened the door on his own and stepped aside to let Chiga enter.

Inside the dim cell, Bullet sat in the shadows. His sharp gaze swept past Magellan and locked directly onto Chiga.

A twisted smile formed on Bullet's lips as he roared with excitement,

"That's right—it's you! I can't believe a monster like you exists in this sea!"

The moment Chiga had set foot in Impel Down, releasing his overwhelming aura, Bullet—whose Observation Haki was razor-sharp—had sensed him instantly.

That suffocating pressure had rooted Bullet in place.

Though he had never met Chiga, he understood what true strength looked like. This man, with his unique eyes, radiated an unshakable dominance.

To someone like Bullet, who revered power above all else, this was the apex he had always dreamed of. In his heart, he believed that even Gol D. Roger wouldn't be a match for Chiga.

Chiga's expression remained calm, but he acknowledged that Bullet's strength was on a different level than the two enemies he had dealt with earlier.

Because of that, he decided to grant Bullet a more dignified execution.

He looked at him and declared,

"Douglas Bullet, your death sentence will be carried out by me, Marine Headquarters Admiral, Uchiha Chiga. Before your execution, is there anything you'd like to say?"

As he spoke, Chiga's Rinnegan locked onto Bullet. If the guy dared to utter something like "ONE PIECE is real," Chiga was ready to erase him on the spot.

Luckily, Bullet wasn't interested in that. His obsession was power—and right now, Chiga was the embodiment of it.

He stared at Chiga's admiral coat and said,

"Marine Admiral, huh? Has the Marine become this strong? Doesn't matter anymore. If you're here to execute me, then do it with a real strike. I don't want to die like Roger, executed by two nobodies."

Chiga raised an eyebrow. Was this guy really so power-crazed that even facing death, he wanted to die by a strong opponent's hand?

He wondered what kind of expression Bullet would've made if he knew that in a certain movie, he was beaten by Luffy, who couldn't even use Advanced Conqueror's Haki.

Chiga thought about it and decided—yes, this man deserved a proper farewell.

Turning to Magellan, he said,

"Warden Magellan, I'm taking him to a separate space. My attack might cause structural damage if I do it here."

Magellan agreed without hesitation. He had zero doubts about Chiga's ability to contain Bullet. Even if Chiga wanted to release him, the entire prison—and Magellan himself—wouldn't be able to stop it.

After getting symbolic approval from Magellan, Chiga nodded at Kalifa, then activated the Door-Door Fruit to open a portal.

He gestured for Bullet to enter. Once Bullet walked through, Chiga followed, and the portal closed behind them.

Only Kalifa and Magellan remained, both staring at the spot where the Door-Door Space had vanished, expressions blank.
