Chapter 154: Battling Peak Douglas Bullet.

The Door-Door Space didn't pique Douglas's interest in the slightest; he only wanted to witness Chiga's power now.

As soon as Chiga entered the Door-Door Space, he immediately activated his ability, transferring the Seastone handcuffs directly from Douglas's wrists.

Douglas, undoubtedly possessing Yonko-level strength, would have been an easy kill in his restricted state—but that didn't sit right with Chiga. It would've left regrets for them both.

With the handcuffs gone, Douglas flexed his wrists a few times. He looked at Chiga and grinned.

"You're pretty bold. Aren't you afraid I'll become too much to handle once the restraints are off?"

Chiga smiled back, casually replying,

"If I can't handle you now, then you might as well take the title of Marine Admiral from me."

"Marine Admiral? Heh." Douglas scoffed. "A man like you gives a damn about a title? Only the strongest power can transcend everything—and take everything."

Chiga shook his head at the twisted smile on Douglas's face.

Douglas had once been a soldier—a hero in his youth. But unlike the heroes of fairy tales, his story had veered off course. Like Kaido, he was betrayed during the most passionate years of his life—and not just once.

After killing those who had betrayed him, Douglas had chosen a different path.

Unlike Kaido, who still clung to prophecies about Joy Boy and trusted comrades like King, Douglas had no such illusions. To him, power was everything. He didn't need companions—power was his only ally.

Truth be told, Chiga didn't entirely disagree with his pursuit of strength. In a world filled with supernatural powers, strength was more valuable than money.

But the belief that one could live without companions? That was debatable.

Chiga believed that as long as someone was human, they had emotions. People might say the strong preferred solitude, but Chiga wasn't interested in being a lone wolf.

Douglas's gaze sharpened. With no more words, he unleashed his long-dormant Gasha Gasha no Mi ability. His Armament Haki, Observation Haki, and Conqueror's Haki merged, and a deep purple aura coated his body.

This was his so-called Devil Form, his favorite manifestation of the Gasha Gasha no Mi's power.

His expression twisted grotesquely as he transformed, clenching his fists and shouting,

"Come on! Show me what the Marine Admiral is made of!"

Chiga didn't answer. With a thought, the patterns of the Annihilation Armament spread across his body. Hidden beneath his clothes, only the purplish-black markings on his hands were visible.

Yet that was enough.

Douglas's pupils constricted. Having mastered the art of combination, he could sense that Chiga's aura resembled—but vastly outclassed—his own fused Haki.

He was stunned. His fusion had reached its peak through the help of the Gasha Gasha no Mi.

But the Annihilation Armament's aura on Chiga's hands made his instincts scream—it was vastly superior.

Excitement trembled through Douglas's body. He was already convinced—Chiga was the strongest opponent he had ever faced.

Chiga struck first.

With the Annihilation Armament active, his punch launched a purplish-black shadow directly toward Douglas.

Douglas had been waiting. His fists glinted with metallic light as he countered.

BOOM!

Lightning forged from Haki exploded through the Door-Door Space. The two titanic forces clashed in a stalemate, and sweat rolled down Douglas's forehead.

Even in Devil Form, using both arms to block was barely enough.

He gritted his teeth and gave everything just to stop what seemed like a casual strike from Chiga.

Looking down at his trembling fists, Douglas muttered,

"Is the gap really this wide?"

Furious, he slammed the ground. The impact sent ripples across the metallic floor.

He looked up and roared at Chiga,

"I get that you're strong, but this much? No way! It's because I've been locked up too long—my body's not at its peak!"

"Oh?"

Chiga raised an eyebrow, saying nothing. Then, without warning, he activated Ishinagahime.

Douglas's body trembled.

He looked at his fists again—no longer battered, but perfectly healed.

Most shocking of all, he felt stronger than ever. His body had returned to its peak condition.

He looked at Chiga, astonished.

"That was... your ability too?"

Douglas muttered, but shook off the thoughts. No more distractions. He was at full strength now—it was time to show this man everything.

He glanced at the mountain of gold piled in the Door-Door Space and made his move.

A wave of purplish-black energy rippled out from his feet. The gold was absorbed and fused with his body.

Within moments, Douglas had transformed into a golden giant—nearly 100 meters tall—with black streaks of Haki embedded in his plated body.

Chiga, standing before him, didn't flinch. But inwardly, he muttered,

"Seriously? A Gundam?"

Still, when it came to summoning Gundams, no one beat the Uchiha Clan.

With a single thought, Chiga summoned a deep purple Susanoo. Empowered by the Glint-Glint Fruit and More-More Fruit, its height towered at a terrifying 400 meters.

Douglas's golden giant, though impressive, barely reached its waist.

Even so, Douglas didn't back down. He only wanted to prove that he wasn't as far behind as it seemed.

With a roar, he swung his enormous golden fist toward the towering Susanoo.

But the Susanoo simply raised one arm and caught it like a toy.

Inside the golden giant, Douglas stared, stunned. He didn't want to believe it—but the truth was clear.

Their strength wasn't even in the same league.

Before he could recover, the Susanoo's other fist came down.

SMASH!

The blow crushed the golden giant's head, reducing the whole form to shattered fragments of gold.

Douglas lay quietly in the wreckage. Looking up at Chiga, who now stood atop the Susanoo, staring down at him, he let out a bitter smile and sighed,

"So… the end of the world really is that far away…"
