for 500 years the realm had thrived in under the divine rule of the Almighty. He had sealed off the old gods and other supernatural beings to end all wars and set in its place a religious system. dividing the remaining lands among the ten noble families--those first to accept him.... or that was how the story was told. however, A faithless Chike encounters an old spirit which reveals an ancient prophecy about a new god of destruction. it then offers to set him on a path to become a new god, however he must overcome a series of tempest.
He reject it, however a series of events causes the death of his aunt and disappearance of his young cousin, leading to his framing and excommunication. with the spirit revealing to him the tempest of trials has already started. and he must face it.

author here. yeah I gave me book a full rating, i'm sure you would too if you get to the end. what is this book about? the book is about an alternate realm around the same timeline as modern day earth, just one twisted in the cocoons or religion. it's a dark character driven epic fantasy that explores faith, forbidden knowledge, and inner power. Why is the start slow?: first this book is unlike others, i chose not to introduce the power system from the beginning to give a full feel of the story depth. how much it was twisted on religion. Does the MC get a power buff?; yes, yes, and yes. but immediately no. for a fact, each battle leaves the MC almost dead. Would there be romance? Not sure at the moment, the story is still too twisted to have that for now. the future holds promise though. PS. this is my second book though was ill and couldn't go through with the first. please bear with me if the writing is sloppy. leave a review if you can
