This Villa Is Not Good Enough For Me!

Caroline naturally didn't dare to go against her boss' wishes, so she led Brentley straight to the model display at the sales office.

Mr. Rivera knew well that Brentley probably couldn't afford the villa, so he didn't linger in the sales office for long and walked out directly.

Meanwhile, Vienna stood nervously in place, her eyes filled with helplessness. She knew that by calling Brentley here today, she had basically offended Manager Brown. When Brentley leaves, she would definitely be fired by her.

Vienna was at a loss for what to do, her small hands fidgeting with the hem of her clothes.

Caroline, with practiced ease, picked up a laser pointer and directed it at the model of the villa on the far edge. Pouting slightly, she said to Brentley, "This is the last villa available in our entire development. It's a two-story, 3,200-square-foot home. The price is $300 per square foot, so the total comes to $960,000 if you pay in full."

"$960,000?" Brentley Carter was taken aback by the number.

"That's right. Since it's the last one, the price is a bit lower. If it were one of the central villas, it would be at least $450 per square foot."

Caroline replied nonchalantly, giving Brentley a glance before continuing, "But I doubt you can afford even this cheapest villa, can you?"

Brentley looked at Caroline without saying a word.

"Alright, it's normal if you can't afford it. After all, someone like you, a broke loser, couldn't possibly have the money to buy a villa. I don't have the time to waste on you. Go do whatever it is you do!" Caroline's tone turned rude again once her boss had left.

Since Brentley was standing very close to Caroline, he could clearly smell the faint perfume she wore. Setting aside her personality, Caroline's figure and looks were undeniably stunning. Her blouse strained against her chest, which seemed ready to burst free from her bra, making her exceptionally alluring.

"And how do you know I can't afford this villa?" Brentley asked.

He looked up at Caroline and asked softly, "Do you really think you can afford it? You can't even come up with $300, let alone $960,000! You're just wasting my time, you broke loser!" Caroline scoffed, her lips curling in disdain.

"Heh..." Brentley chuckled lightly at her words, not bothering to argue. He turned around, intending to leave.

"See? I knew you couldn't afford it. You're just wasting my time, you poor loser!" Caroline muttered under her breath, her face full of contempt as she watched him go.

Brentley didn't care to respond to Caroline. He walked straight out of the sales office. It wasn't that he couldn't afford the villa; he just didn't think its location was good enough. With his wealth, if he were to buy a house, it would have to be in the best neighborhood and the best location.

Everyone there probably thought Brentley wasn't good enough for the villa, but the truth was, the villa wasn't good enough for him.

"Vienna, what are you still standing there for? You can leave now too!" Caroline shouted coldly at Vienna, arms crossed.

"Manager Brown, is... is it time to clock out?" Vienna asked, biting her lip and looking confused.

"Clock out?" Caroline sneered, her face expressionless. "Yes, you're clocking out. And you won't need to come back. You're fired!"

Vienna had brought Brentley into the sales office, and Caroline had been harshly reprimanded by Mr. Rivera for it. She was clearly upset and decided to take it out on Vienna.

Vienna stood there, stunned by Caroline's words, her face full of hurt and confusion.

"Manager Brown, I..." Vienna began, trying to explain.

"What do you mean 'I'? I said you're fired! Do you not understand my words?" Caroline shouted softly but firmly.

Vienna hesitated for a couple of seconds, tears immediately welling up in her eyes. She turned around, ready to leave with Brentley.

Vienna's family was not well-off. A few years ago, her father had fallen seriously ill, and most of the family's income came from her mother's hard work. Vienna had been juggling school and part-time jobs to pay for her tuition and help support her family. This job was very important to her.

Brentley glanced at Vienna and noticed her tears. He couldn't help but ask softly, "Why are you crying?"

"It's... it's nothing..." Vienna wiped the tears from her face and started to walk away.

Brentley hesitated for a moment, then stopped and turned to Caroline, asking softly, "Why did you fire her?"

"I'm the manager of this sales office. Do I need to explain my decisions to you?" Caroline replied with unusual disdain.

"Mr. Carter, please don't say anything more. Let's just go!" Vienna tugged at Brentley's arm, speaking softly.

Brentley gave Vienna a calm look but had no intention of leaving. Instead, he walked straight towards Caroline and said expressionlessly, "Vienna didn't do anything wrong today. Why did you fire her?"

"Who are you? Do I need to explain myself to you?" Caroline retorted.

She shouted with a look of disgust on her face.

"You don't need to explain to me, but you should give Vienna an explanation. Otherwise, I'll go straight to your sales office manager!" Brentley said, looking at Caroline.

"You want an explanation, huh?" Caroline sneered, then said calmly, "I fired her because I think she's incompetent. She brings anyone into our sales office, which greatly affects our image. Besides, she's just a flyer distributor who can't even tell if someone can afford our villas. Do you think I'd keep such an employee?"

"You think she's incompetent?" Brentley asked.

"Yeah, she even dared to bring someone like you into our sales office. Isn't that incompetence..."

"I just bought that villa!" Brentley interrupted before Caroline could finish her sentence.

"What... what did you say?" Caroline's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Brentley.

"I said, I just bought that villa!" Brentley repeated calmly.
