"Did you buy this villa?"
Caroline was momentarily stunned when she heard Brentley's answer, then burst into laughter, her body shaking. The sales office staff joined in, laughing as if they had just heard the funniest joke in the world.
"Mr. Carter... I'm fine. If worse comes to worst, I'll just find another job. Let's just go!"
Vienna was deeply moved that Brentley had stepped up to speak for her, but she knew there was no way he could afford a $960,000 villa. To her, his words seemed like nothing more than a joke.
"Had enough laughing?"
Brentley's sudden interruption silenced the room. Caroline stopped laughing and gave him a quick look, then said, "You want to buy this villa, right? This villa is a special offer. We don't accept loans; it's full payment only. The deposit is two hundred thousand, and the remaining Seven hundred and sixty thousand must be paid within a week. If you want to buy it, just pay up!"
"Two hundred thousand for the deposit?"
Brentley was momentarily surprised.
"What's the matter? Can't come up with it?" Caroline asked with a cold sneer.
"There's no need for a deposit. I'll pay the Nine hundred and sixty thousand in full."
Brentley replied calmly.
Caroline heard Brentley's words and a flicker of confusion flashed in her eyes. She had a vague feeling that Brentley wasn't joking.
"Could this Brentley be a rich heir?"
A bold thought crossed Caroline's mind, but she quickly dismissed it. After all, what kind of rich heir would dress like him?
"Mr. Carter, let's just leave quickly!"
Vienna still firmly believed that Brentley couldn't afford the villa. She tugged at his arm, trying to pull him away.
"Why leave when we haven't bought the house yet?"
Brentley replied with a smile, then looked up at Caroline and said softly, "Why are you still standing there? Go prepare the contract."
"Do you have the money to buy this house?"
Caroline asked Brentley in a puzzled tone.
Smack!
Brentley Carter threw a black card from the Huaxia Bank, a gift from Mr. Griffin, onto the coffee table. He said nonchalantly, "960,000 dollars, just charge it."
As soon as Brentley said this, the other customers and employees in the sales office turned to look at him, their faces full of bewilderment.
Who could have imagined that a young man dressed so shabbily like Brentley would suddenly decide to buy a Nine hundred and sixty thousand dollars villa outright?
Most of the people looking at houses here were wealthy residents of Sunshire City, but it was their first time encountering someone who could so casually pull out the full amount at once.
"What kind of card is this? I've never seen one like it before."
Caroline stared at the black card from Huaxia Bank on the coffee table, her voice filled with confusion.
In all of Huaxia, fewer than ten people possessed a Huaxia Black Card. Each cardholder had a staggering background and a net worth exceeding billions, making the existence of such a card unknown to ordinary people.
It wasn't just Caroline; even the other wealthy individuals present couldn't discern the true value of this card.
"What kind of card is this? Does it even matter? As long as it works, right?" Brentley said calmly, seating himself on the sofa.
Mr. Griffin had once told Brentley that this card had no spending limit. No matter how much he spent, whether millions or billions, the card would cover it. However, Brentley had never had the chance to use it until now, with his regular bank account holding less than $500,000. So, he decided to bring out the black card.
Caroline hesitated for a couple of seconds before deciding to give it a try. She asked the staff to bring over a card reader.
A few seconds later, Caroline entered the staggering amount of $960,000 into the machine and softly said to Brentley, "Please enter the password."
Brentley took the card reader and entered the password.
At that moment, everyone in the sales office was watching Brentley, as if waiting for the result of the transaction.
They wanted to see if Brentley's claim of paying the full bill was true or just a bluff.
Vienna also watched Brentley, her expression tinged with doubt. It seemed she, too, sensed that Brentley wasn't joking around.
"Beep!"
"Transaction successful!"
The soft beep of the card reader echoed through the entire sales office, capturing everyone's attention.
All eyes were wide with shock, as no one could believe that Brentley had just spent that large amount at once to buy that villa!
In Sunshire City, it wasn't unheard of for people to drop a few million on a villa, but Brentley Carter was different. He looked like a raggedy trash collector and was so young. It was the first time anyone had seen someone like him make such a purchase!
What was even more astonishing was that Brentley didn't waste a single word. He simply asked for the price and then swiped his card.
Anyone else would at least want to know more about the villa, right? They'd want to visit the site and take a good look before making such a big decision, wouldn't they?
But Brentley did none of that!
The crowd's perception of Brentley changed dramatically. Especially the saleswomen, who now looked at him as if they wanted to throw themselves into his arms. They finally understood what a true rich kid was.
Of course, the two most shocked people were Vienna and Caroline.
Vienna stared blankly at Brentley. She couldn't believe that the random person she had pulled off the street turned out to be such a wealthy heir.
Until she heard the words "transaction successful," Vienna couldn't believe Brentley could actually buy the villa.
Caroline's expression was even more interesting. She couldn't fathom what she had just witnessed. Her delicate face was filled with disbelief, and the way she looked at Brentley had completely changed.
She now realized that the Brentley she had looked down on was someone she might never have the chance to meet again in her lifetime.
"The money should be in your account now, right?" Brentley suddenly asked Caroline.
"The... the payment has been received..."
Caroline responded absentmindedly. She didn't have the courage to meet Brentley's gaze, so she kept thinking of an excuse to leave and calm her emotions.
"Mr. Carter... I'll... I'll go prepare the contract for you!" Caroline stammered, addressing Brentley.
"Alright."
Brentley nodded slightly.
Upon hearing this, Caroline turned and left immediately, while Brentley sat quietly on the sofa, waiting.
Everyone around them looked at him with peculiar expressions. The men were filled with envy and jealousy, while the women's eyes sparkled with interest, each contemplating how to attract the attention of this super-rich heir.
Only Vienna seemed unable to snap out of her earlier daze. Everything she saw felt like a dream.
A moment later, Caroline returned with the contract, her high heels clicking as she gracefully approached Brentley. She bent down and said sweetly, "Mr. Carter, the contract is ready. You just need to sign it."
It was unclear if Caroline did it on purpose, but she had unbuttoned an extra button on her shirt, revealing a deep, enticing cleavage that was hard to ignore.
"When did I say I was buying this house for myself? Do you think this house is worthy of me?"
Brentley asked calmly, his gaze fixed on the alluring sight before him.
"Young Master Carter, this house might not be worthy of you. Are you planning to gift it to someone?" Caroline asked, her tone slightly puzzled.
The people in the sales office were stunned by Brentley's words. After all, he had just paid for the house. If he wasn't buying it for himself, could he be planning to give it to someone else? Everyone began to feel a pang of envy, wondering who could be so lucky to receive a $960,000 villa as a gift!
"Vienna, come here!"
At that moment, Brentley Carter suddenly called out.
