I Want To Keep You?

Vienna froze instinctively after hearing Brentley's words, and Caroline looked equally puzzled.

Brentley had just mentioned that he didn't buy this house for himself. If it wasn't for him, it must be a gift for someone else. And now, he had called Vienna over. Caroline's mind raced with a bold idea: Could it be that Brentley bought this villa to give it to Vienna?

Vienna stood there, dumbfounded, her face showing utter confusion. She still hadn't wrapped her head around the fact that Brentley had spent so much money on the villa. It all seemed too surreal.

"Vienna, why are you just standing there? Hurry up and come over!" Caroline called out, frowning when she saw Vienna's lack of response.

"Yes, Manager Brown!" Vienna quickly replied, walking nervously to Brentley. She timidly asked, "Mr. Carter, what can I do for you?"

"Sign the contract," Brentley said calmly, sitting on the sofa.

Everyone was stunned by Brentley's words, their faces filled with disbelief. The meaning of Brentley's words was clear to everyone present: he intended to give the villa to Vienna!

No one could have imagined that Brentley, who looked like a scruffy nobody in his shabby clothes, could actually buy the villa. And not only did he buy it, but he also gave it to Vienna, whom he had only known for less than two hours!

The fact that everyone present was there to view the house indicated that they were all well-off individuals. But encountering someone as wealthy as Brentley was a first for them.

Just casually, he handed out a $960,000 villa!

And it was given to a stranger, which was simply unbelievable.

Everyone looked at Brentley, not knowing how to describe their feelings. To them, everything seemed too unreal, like a scene from a TV drama.

If they hadn't seen it with their own eyes, they wouldn't have believed such things could happen in real life!

In truth, $960,000 was nothing to Brentley nowadays. However, he wasn't the type to throw money at strangers for no reason. The villa's location wasn't ideal, and even if he bought it, he wouldn't live there. So, he thought it better to give it away.

As for why he chose to give it to Vienna, it was because Brentley saw a reflection of his younger self in her. They both shared a common trait: being looked down upon because of their lack of money.

"Mr. Carter... what do you mean by this? This... this is your villa. I... I can't sign for it!"

The kind-hearted and innocent Vienna still didn't understand Brentley's intentions and quickly replied with a nervous expression.

"This villa isn't mine anymore; it's yours now!"

Brentley said calmly, looking at Vienna.

"The villa is mine?"

Vienna stared at Brentley, stunned once again.

"Yes, I'm giving this villa to you!"

Brentley nodded gently at Vienna.

Caroline's beautiful eyes were fixed on Brentley, her heart filled with mixed emotions. She secretly regretted not properly welcoming Brentley when he arrived. Not only did she fail to please him, but she also mocked him in every possible way.

Caroline was twenty-seven years old this year. She had worked at the real estate office for five years and had finally climbed her way up to the manager position. These five years had taught her one crucial lesson: the most important thing for survival in this society is a solid economic foundation.

So, despite having countless suitors, she had rejected them all because she felt that none of them could meet her material needs.

Caroline had always fantasized about meeting a super-rich heir who would marry her, thus completing her life. But she never expected that she would actually meet such a person and then fail to seize the opportunity.

Brentley was young, wealthy, and reasonably good-looking, exactly the prince charming Caroline had always dreamed of. Now, she deeply regretted not making an effort to please him. If she had behaved differently earlier, perhaps the villa Brentley bought wouldn't be a gift for Vienna but for her instead.

"Mr. Carter, this villa is worth 960,000 dollars. We just met today, so why are you giving it to me?" Vienna asked, her first reaction not one of excitement or joy over getting this expensive villa for free, but confusion over why Brentley would give it to her.

"No particular reason. If I buy a villa like this, I'm going to give it away anyway. Since you brought me here today, it means we have a special connection. Plus, I can sense that you really need money right now. After signing the contract, you can sell the villa and improve your life," Brentley Carter said, looking at Vienna calmly.

Vienna studied Brentley with her beautiful eyes.

She knew very well that there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world. If Brentley wanted to give her the villa, he must have some conditions.

As for what those conditions might be, Vienna already had an idea in her mind.

But Nine hundred and Sixty thousand dollars was an unimaginable amount for Vienna. If she could get that money, she could not only cure her father's illness but also provide a better life for her parents and no longer be looked down upon.

If that were the case, Vienna thought it would be worth paying some price.

"Whoo..."

Vienna quickly made up her mind and softly asked Brentley Carter, "Mr. Carter, are you really planning to give me this villa?"

"Mm-hmm," Brentley nodded slightly.

Seeing Brentley's nod, Vienna didn't hesitate. She grabbed the contract on the table and quickly signed her name.

The expressions on everyone's faces were filled with envy as they watched Vienna sign. To them, she was no different from a lottery winner.

Caroline, on the other hand, was filled with regret. If it weren't for her own foolishness, she would be the one signing the contract now.

Since Brentley was paying for the house in full, there weren't many formalities. Within a few minutes, Vienna had completed all the paperwork with the sales office staff.

Vienna was now the rightful owner of the villa.

Everyone in the sales office looked at Vienna with envious eyes, each wishing that today's fortune had befallen them instead.

Brentley, seeing that Vienna had finished all the procedures, stood up and walked straight out of the sales office. It seemed he had never noticed Caroline, who had been trying to catch his attention with her flirtatious behavior.

Seeing Brentley about to leave, Vienna quickly caught up with him. With a shy expression, she said, "Mr. Carter, thank you for giving me a villa..."

"No need to thank me," Brentley replied coolly.

"Um, here's my phone number. If you ever need anything, feel free to call me anytime!" Vienna hesitated for a moment before pulling out a piece of paper from her clothes and handing it to Brentley, her face flushed with embarrassment.

"Whenever you need anything?"

Brentley's eyes flashed with a hint of confusion upon hearing Vienna's words. "Y-yes... You gave me such a big house, didn't you...?" Vienna's face turned as red as a ripe peach, and she couldn't finish her sentence.

"Didn't I what?"

Brentley still looked completely puzzled.

"Didn't you want to keep me as your mistress?" Vienna finally mustered the courage to say it out loud. "Keep you as my mistress?"

Brentley stared at Vienna, utterly dumbfounded, standing there in a daze, unsure of what to say.
