Chapter 6

One by one, everyone ended up in the sorting room. The test took about five minutes per person, though it took longer if someone had more than one deck.

"I betI i'll be in the sorcerer dorm! Or the wizard one." The talkative guy nudged me. "What do you think you'll be?"

I looked down at my backpack where my two decks were. After bobbing my head side to side so I could weigh out an estimate, I said, "Same as you probably."

His brows raised. "Really? What deck do you play?"

I chose not to answer.

A crowd of the other students who hadn't done the test came up to us. One of them, a red haired, blue eyed kid seemed to be in charge. "We're thinking about hunting for the hidden vending machines as soon as we're done here. Do either of you want to join?"

The talkative kid perked up. "Heck yeah, I do!"

One of the other kids pushed up his round glasses. "We figured that if we grouped up and looked for it, we'd have a higher probability of looking for it."

I couldn't disagree with that logic.

"Sure." I said. "I'll come along too."

"Hey, you're the guy who guessed that Nimueh card, aren't you?"

All eyes fell on me.

"Yeah. what of it?"

"How did you know it was her?"

The talkative guy turned to me. He raised a brow asking, "Yeah, I thought you said you only started playing a couple of months ago? Exile was released five years ago"

The glasses guy snorted. "There's no way he got into an academy with that little bit of logged time. He either found a sponsor early or got in some other way."

"Yeah. The main way to get in is clocking a certain amount of hours at an LGS(local game store.)"

Everyone asked, "How the heck did you get in?"
