"Sterling, what have you done?"  I whispered, my voice trembling.  "He was just asking for help!"

My stepbrother's eyes, usually a deep emerald green, now glowed with predatory amber as he shifted partially back from his wolf form.  His breathing was heavy, primal.

"He was too close to you, Aurora.  His scent was all over you."  Sterling's voice was eerily calm as he wiped blood from his hands onto his dark jeans.  "No man approaches what's mine."

Mine.  That word made my skin crawl.  I wasn't his.  I was his stepsister, not his possession.

Chapter 37 - Denied Climax, Defiant Vow


My body trembled with need, poised on the precipice of release. Kaelen's skilled fingers had brought me to the edge, and I was desperate to fall over it.


"Please," I whispered, my hips lifting involuntarily, seeking his touch again.


Kaelen's eyes darkened as he loomed over me, a predatory smile playing on his lips. He leaned down, his breath hot against my ear.


"I want to hear you scream my name when you come," he murmured, his fingers returning to tease between my thighs. "I want to feel you shatter around me."


My eyes fluttered closed as waves of pleasure built again. His thumb circled my most sensitive spot while his fingers slipped inside me, curling to find that perfect place that made my back arch off the bed.


"You're so tight," he groaned. "So perfect. All mine."
