Chapter 40: A Misunderstood Wedding and an Alpha's Rage

Lucian's POV

"Enjoying the view?" Elias smirked beside me, his eyes fixed on my face rather than the scene across the restaurant.

I tore my gaze away from Aria's table, where Gareth had just reached over to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. My jaw clenched so hard I thought my teeth might crack.

"You knew they'd be here." It wasn't a question.

"Shall we say hello?" Elias suggested, already sliding off his barstool. "It would be rude not to."

Before I could stop him, he was weaving between tables toward them. I had no choice but to follow, my fingers curled into fists at my sides.

Gamma Alaric spotted us first, his expression immediately guarded. He stood, ever the picture of authority and control.
