Chapter 23 Gather allies 2

The next day was officially the beginning of everybody knights duties.

The knights woke up, bathed, weared, took on all the equipment they needed, and they were about to begin their journey of gathering allies.

The people gave a farewell to their knights after they had been told about war.

Shio, Iguro, James, and Akiyoshi also began their mission to go to powerhouse 1.

The Black Art Division left for Estrella. They were also given a farewell by the people.

Meanwhile, at the Castle of the King of the City of Lakhar.

"Sir please you have to follow us." 10 knights begged.

The king seemed to be refusing to go and hide. The city of Lakhar was known for facing every challenge head on, but now the king had to hide, and it was embarrassing for him.

"I will not leave this place,if the enemy wants to attack, let them, we are not cowards who hide." The king refused.

"My king, we beg of you."

"No I shall not hide. You guys at Arcandia may be cowards who hide when the going gets tough, but we are different." The king stated.

'Man, this king has so much pride.' One of the Knights thought, as veins popped from his head.

'We won't get anywhere like this.' They thought.

"Your majesty, if you refuse to come with us, then we shall use force." They warned.

In the shadows, a dark figure with red eyes watched and listened.

One of the knights began panicking. She felt an intense pressure that made her sweat. It was hostility, and the pressure she felt was intense bloodlust.

And this bloodlust was towards the king. 'This hostility, it's towards the king.' The woman knight sensed.

The dark figure saw that the woman knight was beginning to notice him, and so he made his move.

He got out of the shadows and was about to throw a spear when.

Woosh! Woosh! Woosh!

Four of the Knights pressed their blades on the man's neck, and the other six surrounded the king.

"Move and you die, you filth." The woman knight warned.

The man was shocked that all of the Knights noticed him even before he came out of the shadows and managed to press their blades against his neck.

But that did not stop the man. He did not fear death. He was ready to die just to complete his mission.

He threw the spear at the king, and in an instant, he was decapitated, and the spear was blocked by one of the Knights who were surrounding the king.

"Your majesty, you see that it is dangerous for you here. There are assassin knights who would give their lives just to kill you." The knights said begging the king to come with them.

The king's pride surpassed his fear for death. He refused to come with the knights.

The knights had no choice. They used force and took the king away.

Meanwhile, at the hideout of the [ASNO], the boss of the [ASNO] saw that his assassin had been killed.

"It seems like our assassin has been killed." He said.

"I didn't really think that it would be that easy to kill one of their king." A man standing next to him said.

"Yes and it seems like they are moving their king's to a secret location, and the people who are protecting them are no joke." The boss warned.

"My lord, I trust your observation, and I say let's wait for a while before attacking." The man suggested.

The boss looked at the man standing next to him, "Yes I agree."

The Black Art Division rode their horses and pushed them to their limits, passing through the forest with ease.

They reached a desert, which they had to pass through before reaching to another forest that led straight to Estrella.

They rode nonstop, passing through the desert. The sun was blazing with a rather vulgar heat. There was no water or shade in sight.

The horses reached their limits and stopped running.

Annie and the others got off and decided to take a break.

The sun was burning them since there was no shelter.

Captain Zak drew a big umbrella that covered them and the horses as well.

They rested for a while, but then, a giant sand storm appeared.

"What the hell!" Kyojuro freaked.

"Everybody hold on and and don't let go." The Captain Zak ordered.

He drew multiple concrete pillars, and all of them held on to one, and for the horses, he drew walls around them.

The storm ended, and they continued their journey to Estrella.

They got to the forest, it had been a two days journey without any sleep, and they decided to camp.

They set camp in the middle of the forest and hunted for food.

They set a fire and began to cook the springboks they had killed.

While they were eating a holographic screen appeared in front of them, the captain of the Yellow cross division appeared on screen.

"1" was the only thing he said before the screen disappeared.

"Wait what just happened?" They asked, confused.

"I'll explain it. Since we are gathering allies, we have to contact each other to tell the others whether your team was successful or not in their mission." Captain Zak explained.

"And since these communications can be easily hacked, we have to keep communication to a bare minimum. The Yellow Cross Division used the word "one" to indicate their success. If they said 2 or any other number, that would've meant they failed." He finished.

"Oh I see, so that means that they were successful in recruiting South Frocolian." The vice captain concluded.

The next day, they continued their trip, and finally, they reached Estrella.

They were invited inside the castle by the king.

Captain Zak explained the whole situation to the king without leaving out any details.

The king looked at the situation. He saw that assisting Lakhar could be dangerous if Malistro just decided to turn their attention towards them.

But so that they can maintain a good relationship, they agreed to help.

The Yellow cross division completed their mission.

The Black Art Division completed their mission.

The White star division completed their mission.

The Shining Diamond Division completed their mission.

The Blazing Storm Division failed their mission.

This meant that currently Lakhar had 4 allies.

Shio, Iguro, James and Akiyoshi were on the move, and the Frozen Dragons Division made their move as well.
