I had even left my phone charger at home.

He finally sat down in his study, trying to believe that this was all just a misunderstanding, that I was just too busy to have made it home yet.

But it seemed someone had accessed his computer without logging out properly.

Alexander’s eyes instantly reddened at the corners. His fists clenched tightly as he summoned all the bodyguards.

“Who touched my computer?”

“Didn’t I give orders that no one was to touch anything in here?”

The bodyguard hesitated before speaking. “Sir… it was your wife.”

A possibility seemed to dawn on Alexander, and the color drained from his face.

“Go. Bring me the security footage from the house.”

After recuperating in the hospital for half a month, I was soon discharged.

I asked Marcus to help me find a real estate agent to rent an apartment. I was going to live on my own.

Marcus looked at me in surprise. "So suddenly? You're not planning on going home?"

"Home?"
