## Hazel's POV
"You were grieving the relationship you thought you had, not the one you actually did."
Sebastian's words hit me like a bucket of ice water. Six years of my life suddenly reframed in a single sentence. I sat back in my chair, letting the truth sink in.
"That's..." I struggled to find words. "That's actually incredibly accurate."
Sebastian nodded, his dark eyes watching me carefully. "It's why you've been able to recover so quickly. What you lost wasn't love—it was an idea."
I took a sip of water, my throat suddenly dry. "But how did you know? How could you see something about my relationship that I couldn't see myself?"
A small smile played at the corner of his mouth. "For one thing, you were celibate for six years."
I choked on my water, coughing violently. Several diners turned to stare.
"Excuse me?" I gasped when I could finally speak.
Sebastian remained perfectly calm. "You and Alistair never slept together. In a six-year relationship."
