## Hazel's POV
The sleek car glided through the evening traffic as Sebastian drove us to this mystery party. My fingers nervously twisted the strap of my purse, anxiety building with each passing minute.
"Will you please tell me where we're going?" I asked, breaking the tense silence.
Sebastian glanced at me, a smile playing on his lips. "The Rosewood Hotel. Cora's hosting in one of their ballrooms."
I stiffened. "Your sister? You're taking me to a party hosted by your sister?"
"Technically, it's her husband's corporate event," Sebastian clarified, reaching over to place a reassuring hand on my knee. "Don't worry. It's not as intimidating as you're making it out to be."
"Meeting your sister is a big deal," I protested, my voice rising slightly. "You should have warned me."
"If I had, you would have found an excuse not to come." His thumb traced small circles on my knee. "Cora's been asking to meet you for weeks."
