## Hazel's POV
"I'm fine," I insisted, my eyes fixed on the angry red patches marring Sebastian's broad back. "But you're not. We need to get you to a hospital right away."
Sebastian shook his head. "It's just minor irritation. My jacket took most of it."
I frowned, unconvinced by his stoic dismissal. "That's not for you to decide. Chemical burns can worsen over time."
The adrenaline that had been keeping me upright began to fade, leaving my hands trembling. If Sebastian hadn't moved so quickly... I couldn't bear to finish the thought.
"Cora!" I suddenly remembered my friend who'd been standing nearby during the attack. "Where's Cora?"
"I'm here," her voice called out as she emerged from the crowd. "I'm checking on something."
My eyes immediately went to her hand, which she was awkwardly holding away from her body. Red splotches marred her skin.
"Your hand!" I rushed to her side. "Did you get splashed?"
