## Hazel's POV
"Best friend?" I offered with a teasing smile, knowing full well that wasn't what Sebastian meant.
His eyes darkened slightly as he stepped closer. "Try again."
My heart hammered against my ribs. The hallway suddenly felt too small, too intimate. Sebastian's presence overwhelmed my senses—his cologne, his warmth, the intensity of his gaze.
"Special friend?" I tried again, my voice barely above a whisper.
Sebastian shook his head, moving even closer. "Not even close."
We stood there, the tension between us crackling like electricity. I could feel my resolve weakening with every second that passed.
"What are you asking me, Sebastian?" I finally managed to say.
He reached out, his fingers brushing a strand of hair from my face with devastating gentleness. "I think you know exactly what I'm asking."
I did know. And it terrified me.
