Synopsis

Sil Lan just wanted a quiet life.

At 22, he’s a loner with no family, no ambition, and no need for noise. After graduating high school, he made just enough from trading to stay invisible—and that suited him fine. He spends his days watching markets, listening to old songs, and sitting beside the one person who made his life feel less hollow: Mei, a blind girl he met by chance and never let go.

Then the world breaks.

A portal opens in the Mongolian plains, connecting Earth to another universe—one filled with magic, ancient powers, and something even worse: curiosity. From that crack, energy leaks in, warping people across the globe. They call it Awakening. One in a million survive it.

Sil is one of them. It lets him exchange anything for anything—so long as he pays the price in energy. One and only S-Rank ability and he calls it Eyes of Miracles. As Earth spirals into panic and the truth behind the other world begins to surface, Sil faces a brutal reality: he’s not meant to hide anymore.

Because powers like his don’t exist to be wasted.

And someone has to cross that gate first

Hello, readers! This is one of my serious attempt at writing a full novel, and I’m genuinely thankful to anyone who gives it a chance. About the story: This isn’t your typical action-packed fantasy. While there is power, world-ending threats, and a mysterious ability, the heart of this book is much quieter — it’s about people. Struggle. Emotion. The kind of weight that doesn’t come from fighting monsters, but from making choices you can’t take back. About the main character: Sil Lan is calm, kind, and highly rational — not a chosen hero, not a loud rebel, just a young man trying to survive in a world that's changing too fast. He doesn’t make grand speeches or wave swords. His power is terrifying, but he hides it — not out of cowardice, but calculation. If you’re looking for a main character who punches his way through problems, this might not be the story for you. Sil’s greatest strength isn’t his ability — it’s his ability to stay calm when everything else falls apart. About the tone: I tried to write this story with a heavy heart and a quiet hand. There’s tragedy, uncertainty, and moments of very human pain. The relationship between Sil and Mei (the blind girl he loves) is central to the emotional core of the story. I wanted their connection to feel sincere, without over-the-top drama. It’s a slow burn. And don't ask , whether the ending is tragedy or happy ending depends on whether I got the happy ending or not. The 'I' refer to here your lovely author's real life love interest. Bite me , if you can! A few things to keep in mind: The pacing is intentionally slow at first, focusing more on mood and grounded reactions rather than action scenes. Sil's ability is extremely powerful — but not so much world breaking bug type if you really think about it. The real value lies in how he chooses to use it. Mei is not a side character. She will matter more than it seems early on. The world is realistic. Military, political, and scientific responses to the supernatural are based on what I believe would actually happen in real life. The characters don’t scream or monologue unless they have to. Emotions are subtle. Dialogues are quiet. The silence matters. This book is about weight — the weight of choice, love, power, and survival. Thank you for reading. I welcome all feedback, especially honest and constructive thoughts. I'm learning as I go, and your support or criticism will help me improve. Hope this story reaches the people it's meant to.
