A man who is still fighting might look crazy, desperate, shallow even. His unending battle with his very self a vain affair.
But what is truly terrifying is a man who's given up. Insanity's incarnate, too sickeningly free in his machinations.
What if one such figure ends up driving themselves to their utter limit? what if they end up so deep in the throes of despair that it becomes a part of them?
And what if at the end of it all, they ask for respite, for revenge.
In a sense, that could be any of us, or even, all of us.
Hope is the poison we take willingly, it is the knife we turn within ourselves. It is what makes us, and it will be what remains of us
Time, fate, and the very nature of life itself, it haunts us—and surely, it will ruin us.
And so, the story went on.
A dying world, rotting from within. A boy cursed by it, yearning for freedom.
woah this is really good. i love your writing style and all the elements. KEEP IT UP tho im really curious where the story is exactly headed to, hoping to read more of it in future
I'm giving this a high review due to what could be written, not what has. Beyond the story, I was fascinated by elements of fantasy, myth, and the modern age. There's not much to go by, so obviously it could just seem ridiculous. However, I am curious about how he'll go about weaving them all together(and also quite a fool, being the main reason for the high review. I'm quite fond of this sort, reminds me of Arcanum a bit.) It definitely requires a bit of polish, and an honest rating of 3.5 wouldn't seem too below. However, I have high expectations, and I do hope the author could follow them. Otherwise, it'd seem I'd have gotten my hopes up for nothing. Cook up a banger twin, you have the seeds for it.
