A bomb was strapped to my chest, with only a ten-minute countdown.
I was forced to call Don Logan Carbone, my boyfriend, "I've been kidnapped! Don't—"
"What the hell are you playing at?" he snarled. "I told you I was handling business. How dare you joke about this!"
His furious roar came through the phone, followed by the sweet, coquettish voice of another woman.
Even the kidnappers shook their heads and sighed. "Logan doesn't give a damn about this whore. We grabbed the wrong one."
Before the world went white, I sent my last text. Goodbye, Logan. I hope we never meet again.
My body was obliterated. But my soul was trapped, chained to his side.
And then, I overheard a secret.

A Bomb for His Beloved

Logan and Luca took their men and stormed one of Marco's safe houses in the Bronx.


When I saw the place, I couldn't help but tremble with fear.


After Marco kidnapped me, this was where he brought me. I was brutally tortured here. He tried to force me to reveal Logan's secret locations, but I would rather die than give in.


Finally, he strapped the bomb to me and took me to the outskirts of the city.


Luca stopped in front of a house. After confirming no one was inside, he kicked the door in. I entered the house as well. Marco had already scrubbed the place clean.


Luca circled the room. Just then, I saw a button wedged in the corner of a cabinet. It was from my shirt.


If Logan could find it, he could confirm Marco was the killer.


I tried everything I could to draw their attention to it. Unfortunately, my efforts were in vain.


As soon as they were outside, Luca said to Logan, "We didn't find any bomb-making materials. Could Marco not be our guy?"
