Baiyi, finally out of the Void, was the only one who could save all of the other 32 souls from their prison and his summoner might just be The Key to their freedom.
However, Baiyi had to use the techniques and abilities the other souls had taught him throughout the years, and together with his own extensive knowledge of anime and game tropes from his shady and dangerous past as an otaku, to face the biggest challenge of them all: training the clumsy young girl he was forced to partner up with… into a competent sorcerer!

After the insolent brat Mordred threw a tantrum of that magnitude, Aya spent the remaining time in the banquet, hot-faced with embarrassment, next to Baiyi. To the rest of the people, this dragon lady still seemed pretty happy-go-lucky, although she had handled the previous situation quite poorly.

Aya actually thought of initiating a conversation with Baiyi, but the hesitation in her heart kept her back, and the few brave steps she took came to a stop almost immediately. It was Mordred who made her wish came true; by utilizing the opportunity provided by their crowded environment, Aya and Mordred were able to inch them closer to Baiyi, to the point where they look like his lady companions.

Mordred had a delighted look on her face as she happily embraced Mia. "Mia, we haven't met in a long time. I've missed you so much..." she whispered into Mia's ear.
