Issue

It had been a while since Chang Guan discovered his Rotation Intent. He had long since decided to replace the hours of laying in his bed, trying to leave it with training using the Rotation Intent.

For most of the time of his travels, he had followed a pretty simple schedule:

-Step 1: Sleep

-Step 2: Practice in mind's room

-Step 3: Absorb Qi

-Step 4: Travel:

-Step 5: Sleep

-Step 6: $ PROFIT $

But after traveling for 3 days, he had finally reached the border.

The border between Purple Forest region and Black Desert region was a long line of mountains. Each of these mountains pierced through the clouds and was nearly impossible for non-cultivators to pass.

In fact, it was quite tricky for normal cultivators and only the really powerful cultivators could easily pass this line of mountains.

Faced with such a sight, Chang Guan couldn't help but be impressed, as he involuntarily released a sigh of awe.

Chang Guan had actually read a bit about the geography of the Purple Forest from his clan's library and had known that the border was blocked by mountains, but he would never have expected them to be so impressive.

"Hmm, alright. I wonder how I should get past this..."

If these were ordinary mountains, there would have been no issue, but Chang Guan knew that there were ferocious beasts in the mountains.

These were special beasts, much unlike the ordinary bears and wolves. The ferocious beasts were extremely powerful due to their innate talent of naturally absorbing Qi from their surroundings and using it to strengthen their bodies.

They were so powerful that there were even cultivators who had studied them and created special methods specifically to strengthen their bodies like these ferocious beasts.

Chang Guan did a quick review of some additional information on the mountains, before deciding to go around the bases of the mountains.

This was mainly because at the peak of each mountain, a powerful ferocious beast would exist and the further up the mountain you went, the more powerful the ferocious beasts you would find.

"Oh well..."

Chang Guan knew that there was no point in procrastinating and thus decided to begin walking towards the mountains.

While walking, Chang Guan decided to use the Cloaking tactic to hide. He saw no reason to purposefully fight against any ferocious beasts since he really just wanted to get to the other side.

He also decided to decrease the rotations of his Qi to calm down. He carefully spread his Qi out to the surroundings, searching everything carefully.

*Hiissss*

Suddenly, Chang Guan heard a noise. His first move was to instantly throw a knife in the direction of the sound.

*Swish*

The Knife threw through the air and landed right on its target. Chang Guan searched for what had made the noise.

"A snake huh?"

It was a striped snake. Each of the stripes was black and white and created a repeating pattern, similar to that of a zebra. This snake had been pierced through the head with a throwing knife and was spilling purple blood.

Chang Guan, still hidden and on high alert, crept over to the snake's carcass, and pulled out the knife.

"!!!", Chang Guan let out a cry of surprise as at the very moment the knife was pulled out, the snake darted into the darkness.

"What?! But it was dead..."

Chang Guan had already made sure that the snake was truly dead and not playing possum before removing the knife, but he was somehow tricked. Chang Guan couldn't understand it.

"Have I been a frog in a well this entire time?"

Chang Guan really felt cheated. Before this point, he had felt as though he was invincible inside of the Purple Forest region.

He knew he wouldn't be invincible in the Black Forest region as well, but at this point, he felt weak. He had been tricked by a snake - the first one he had come across.

Chang Guan wore a blank expression but quickly snapped out of it. He noticed that his R/s had been returned back to what it normally was and swiftly reduced it once more, this time even lower than before.

What Chang Guan didn't know, was that this was a Yin-Yang Serpent. A second stage ferocious beast that can rival ordinary Foundation Establishment cultivators.

This sort of high ranked ferocious beast would only be seen at this low an altitude on very rare occasions. and was usually a bit less than half-way up a mountain.

Chang Guan continued moving. He moved unusually slowly, carefully checking his every step before taking it. along the way, he saw many different ferocious beasts, each of them were weird to Chang Guan. There was a wolf with antlers, a fish with wings and so much more.

Finally, when it had become night, Chang Guan found a cave. This cave was very secluded and seemed empty. Chang Guan took this opportunity to rest. He sat down in the cave in a lotus position.

Then, he used his Rotation Intent to decrease his rotations. 67, 60, 40, 20, 10, 5, 3, 2, 1. Chang Guan sat down, but after 15 seconds of using the Rotation Intent to decrease his R/s, he realized that he couldn't get below 1 R/s.

Suddenly, Chang Guan began nervously fidgeting. This was completely foreign to him. Never before had he been unable to enter his mind's room.

Once he started thinking thoughts like this, he began thinking that he may be unable to enter his mind's room forever. He was panicking.

2 R/s.

Unexpectedly, his R/s increased once more.

"!!! Can it be?!"

Chang Guan had an idea. Maybe his Rotation Intent wasn't broken. Thinking this, he stopped panicking.

1 R/s.
