In an alternate reality, an influx of spiritual energy led to the birth of magic on Earth. Human souls could resonate with the elements and cultivate a connection to mysterious powers, and using mana, control the elements they connected to, achieving superhuman feats. Scientific developments quickly paled in comparison to the wondrous effects of magic, and so a new era was ushered in where magic reigned supreme. As detailed in the synopsis, this is a bl fantasy novel centering around an op, overly talented and hot mc attending a top notch cultivation school in an alternate version of Earth. This novel is about his struggle to accept his own feelings and happiness due to his tragic childhood, and his struggle to gain the power necessary to protect those he loves. I'll try to make it funny, emotional, and simply awesome at different times, and hope that the novel will successfully provoke these emotions in anyone who reads it. I don't know what to say other than wow. I simply love this book. Although I am writing this review very early in the novel, I feel confident in saying that this is a top-notch book in the literary world, not just on qidian. The mc is op, but adorably cute, and the other male lead has started appearing in my dreams. The author's language and descriptions are at a level I haven't seen in a long time - the detail and imagery is world class. The book is written in a style much more formal than that of many other books on qidiain, which are clearly translated from another language. This allows the book to have a good flow and pace that really pulls the reader in. I strongly recommend this to anyone other than those who can't handle homosexual relations, as this is featured in the novel, and can't wait to read more!
Excellent story and writing. I could tell that author has written quite a bit before writing this story. The first chapter or the prologue is very very good. It tugged at my heartstrings and I shed some tears without meaning to. But the chapters afterwards... I gotta say it. It's very cheesy. Lots and lots of cheese 😁. Well I'll take it because author is very diligent and awesome writer, and it's a bl novel.
I'm sorry to write another review on the same book, but having read more I feel the need to add on to my previous review. First, let me say that I am even more sure that this book is the best in the BL genre, and on top of that a very good fantasy novel. The beginning is a little slow, a lot of introductions and explanations, but there is no info dump and the pace remains quick enough to keep a reader's interest easily. However, the truly incredible part is how attached to the characters you become during this time. Without even realizing it, I became more attached to the mc and ml in 20 chapters than in books I'd read more than 100 chapters of. This is thanks to the author's beautiful descriptions of the characters, their emotions, and the setting which create clear and lucid images of each character in a reader's mind. So when the plot really kicks off around chapter 13, it is made all the more interesting and suspenseful by your love for the characters. My favorite parts, though, are the interjected scenes of fluff and cuteness, where Art and Soran eat dinner or do other random things and hint at their feelings and act too adorably around each other. All I can say is give this book a chance because you will be hooked!
This story is too good, why is the author's language comparable tp bestseller authors, i feel like I'm in the book the descriptions are so good. I can't get enough of reading this.

Hands down the best novel of the genre! Though new to qidian, I have read nearly all the bl books on it and on other sites, and can say with confidence that the writing quality of this book is better than even popular ones such as QWFOD. Great job author! The descriptions are simply fantastic, no matter what kind of book you compare them to. Highly highly highly recommend this!
