Two Years

Third Person P.O.V

Ashim is currently lying down on a soft green bed of grass, under the shadow of a giant tree in a park inside his clan compound. It had been two and a half years since that day. Now, he's three and a half years old.

As promised, his dad only started teaching him basic chakra control, the tree climbing exercise and basic taijutsu when he turned two. Then, advanced chakra control and advanced taijutsu, when he turned three.

He had already mastered the water walking exercise after a week from when they begun their advanced exercises. It isn't that difficult when you know the principals behind it. What you have to do is release an extremely thin, almost indistinguishable layer of chakra from the soles of your feet to increase the surface tension, which would then lift your weight, but you have to constantly pay a attention to it to keep the layers of chakra released from the both feet separate and it's extremely difficult as both the chakra layers would attract each other. Ashim doesn't know why they attract each other, but he will keep on learning about chakra and one day find out.

After that his dad was very impressed and gave him an E-rank lightning jutsu. Which he mastered in one month. The jutsu is to create lightning in your palm after coating it with chakra, then release a thin thread of chakra with the other hand towards a target and finally, connect the thread to the lightning. It will release that lightning through the thread and shock the target.

He was excited after learning his first jutsu, but after releasing it a few times and noticing that he still had plenty of chakra, he asked his dad to give him more advance jutsu, but he refused. He was told that, for someone who hasn't even started going to the academy, he is strong enough as he doesn't need more strength.

He couldn't tell his dad that he is not strong enough as he knows the future and even if he didn't, he would still desire strength as it is in his nature to better himself. But, after that talk with his dad, he realized that he couldn't rely on him anymore. His dad loves him and his brother, but he is a conservative. There is nothing wrong with that, but Ashim is just the opposite and if he desires more than he is offered, then he has to rely on himself.

After years of practice, he can now even do the chakra exercises subconsciously as long as he is not doing any intense physical labor and he makes his every movement count as not many years are left before the mist and the stone jointly attacks the hidden leaf village. He doesn't want to stay a lamb to be slaughtered when those ninjas swarm inside the village. he has exhausted himself after doing intense physical training. It is still five in the afternoon and generally he wouldn't stop until seven before going home and start reading those medical books.

After watching Ashim, Asuma has also started taking part in taijutsu sessions with his father. He is quite competitive, but doesn't last a minute in the spars.

After a few minutes of rest, he got up shakily and sat down. Today, he is going to buy water balloons and rubber balls to make rasengan. He doesn't know how much different his knowledge from the anime would be from the real thing, but the general principal would be the same. If he doesn't succeed, he would just ask his dad for help as even though he wouldn't give him new jutsu or anything from the village, he will at least give him a few hints when he is creating a new jutsu or trying to learn about chakra.

After an hour of rest, he washed his face in the lake and walked towards the village to buy some water balloons and rubber balls, but he won't be able to practice today as he is too tired and the sun is about to set. Tomorrow will be a new day and his dad might come home as well. Maybe he will ask him for advice.!
