*Hiatus - Went on a trip about a month ago and re-read a bunch of the chapters before realizing that I didn't like where the story was going. I spent the last month trying to figure out where I went wrong while writing other stories and for now I'm going to leave Storm Caller alone while I think about it.*
The year is 2028, and the next era is coming. Signs are everywhere, hail the size of basketballs pelt Denver, Colorado. The Washington Monument topples over, people are going missing in record numbers all around the globe. Ancient powers awaken from their long slumbers. They are coming!
In the middle of all this, a prestigious academy hiding incredible secrets decides that something has to change. Mistakes of the past shouldn't be repeated. Our hero is a 17 year boy carrying an incredible legacy who just wants to live a normal(ish) life.

Hey, this is the shameless author's review that we're all required to do... I started writing this for fun, without any major plans for it. However, thanks to some great reviews and having more time I decided to take it more seriously. Any reviews, comments, powerstones especially, are very appreciated and help to keep me motivated. If possible, I'd love to make this a contracted word, but if it doesn't happen I won't stop writing. The novel is my take on how I think a system should work, it doesn't automatically make you OP but rather gives you opportunities. Also, I'm trying to convey the journey and growth from being a normal teenager to a bad ass with powers and how those powers influence your personality.
This is a REALLY GOOD original novel! Unlike most it actually has correct grammar, which if you're someone like me if something to almost cry over when it appears. It is a really, wonderfully fresh take on cultivation in the modern world. Of course, with the essential high school element added in! It also has a version of a system that's ACTUALLY DONE RIGHT!! It's tiring to see novels with systems that literally make the MC completely OP in the first five chapters... Anyway, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THIS! The level of detail is great, and the characters are incredibly vivid. When introducing characters, the author has focused on key features that define them to our MC and to the readers without just listing a mixed bag of randomly generated facial features or generically beautiful people. They feel real! Note to the author: get your novel the awesome cover it deserves!
This is good but most people won't give it a chance because it's in first person. Most people find first person to be very offputting and wont even bother to read. I don't know how hard it would be for you to edit, but if you changed it from first to third person it would hit top 10 easy.
Honestly, if you have ever read a cultivation novel and liked it, this is a pure gem. Compared to many, many other novel i have read this is the biggest surprise in quality content. It has Nearly everything i can personaly wish for, and gladly no harem or super overpowered MC. While i think he is a little too strong for some weeks of cultivation, it doesnt scare me away and feels aceptable. Great work Author, you have my thanks.

Very amazing novel. One of the best on this site easily. It's very unique and well thought out, It's a strange mix cultivator in a modern world but also mixes in technology and VR with a type 'another world'. It's explains all of this very well though and it fits together seamlessly. The MC isn't boring or bland, quite relate-able really and doesn't have this cliche of 'Ill kill your entire family' that other cultivation fics do. The MC doesn't turn into an idiot either or for some reason make enemies with everyone he meets. It has a whole other VRMMO type side to it complete with quests etc... that fits in perfectly with the cultivation sides. It has quite a few characters those aren't forgotten in 20 chapters, each is explained and well defined which makes them feel like actual characters and part of the story. I'd highly recommend reading this.
It's well written, almost like a real book and not the usual fast food novels we use to read. The story is well written. So kudos to the author, it should be a real novel lol.
Omg this it so addictive to read I’m haveing withdrawn s I need please give me move I love this book if you can please release more if can if not just keep it up I love it anyway thanks
I’ve been an avid reader for a long time and I’ve been reading fanfic since the days before royalroad even began. This novel is definitely one of the best that I’ve laid my eyes on , the pace is on point , each character is unique and world building is vivid. It does have its shortcomings however , the power level situation is murky, the parental situation is weird and I had to reread a few chapters to understand the “classes”
The story is very good and mind-boggling. It's so good that I've been waiting anxiously for a continuous update but I've been sorely disappointed. 😞 what's going on with the author, it's been close to a month and there have been no updates and it's really bumming me out. Hurry up and get your act together.
One of the Greatest novel I read and I truly impressed by innovation and imagination of author.Well it really felt like how cultivation could be in modern era.
I find it particularly good , this story neither falls into the too dark matters or is too comedic. I particularly find your worldbuilding very well done, a small point is that the cultivation levels arent' well explained : Is once you reach 100% in mindscape the end? Is there steps after refining the body to the 9nth level outside of unlocking heartforce? What's the cultivation levels in dantian and heartforce like? Is there none in order to look realistic but even in this case there should be specific numbering through the inplant. There's some grammary errors/missing/repeated words but it's still highly readable and well written (4stars) I think this novel can evolve well, I deeply enjiy your work.
I really enjoy the world building and design of the cultivation aspect. You learn more about the world and how it works in 20 chapters then some novels with 200 plus chapters.
So usually a review(or a good one at least) would give you a explanation of the novel and how good it is, usually I’d do this, but there’s literally nothing to complain about in this novel unless your a nit picky mother ****er that reads just to find flaws in a novel, just read it, this novels amazing and will have you binging by the first chapter it’s so good
