Looked down upon

Huang Yang once again placed the Bronzefire greatsword on his back, while stretching out his body. He had taken quite the hit after a troubled landing. He had greatly underestimated how high he could go.

Luckily he was a martial artist, and he only landed in the soft snow. Behind him were the tall walls, surrounding the inner parts of the Huang family estate.

There seemed to be an astronomical difference in the building quality. The true members of the family, which were few in number, all lived in beautiful houses with golden decoration littering the facades.

At least everyone except for him and his core family, who enjoy a more mundane atmosphere and environment.

The outer area of the estate was however a bit different. The houses were made from simple bricks and wood. They hardly had any decorations, except maybe a sign showing who owned the houses.

Besides the difference in luxury, the sheer amount of houses were as far apart as heaven and earth. While the true members of the Huang family may be stronger than normal people, they couldn't even compare to their servants when it came to members.

Huang Yang stood alone in a complete daze as he scanned the different houses. He couldn't see all of them from his position, making him wonder just how many people lived in the city the Huang family governs.

He had heard that the servants working directly by the estate, were in reality just a minor number compared to all the mortals still living in Bright city.

A sense of longing came banging into Huang Yang's heart, as he first now realized how grand the world was. He knew that there were higher powers, like the sects and clans, so he couldn't help but imagine just how magnificent their territories were.

His eyes saw people walking around, some simply enjoying their day, living beside immortals, likely feeling safe and sound.

He saw elderly men with their wives, admiring the snow falling slowly. Children were running around playing, while their parents were watching with happy smiles.

This reminded him of how his family would look at him when he was playing with Huang Xianjun.

A small amount of guilt welled up within him, thinking about the disappointed face of his brother.

He had seen it too often in the last few months. If he had just agreed to play with him a couple of times, maybe he would have left his sad isolation sooner.

With a stern face, he shook his head. He couldn't go back in time, so the only way for him was forward. He swore to himself that he would be better now.

With that, he took his first steps amongst the servants. However, after walking for a while he realized that there was an unforeseen problem.

"I look too different!", he lampooned at himself, almost planting his palm on his forehead. He felt like an idiot.

People were walking around with basic leather clothes or brown simple robes, and here he came with a black fur coat and elegant white robes. And the most obvious sword ever!

At that moment he also remembered that he needed to wait for his grandfather. He was supposed to meet him at the gate!

His eyes darted back towards the gate since he hadn't been walking too far, so he could still kinda see the gate, he thought about turning back, yet a voice drew his attention.

"Hey brat, what you got there?!", a young man yelled at him.

Huang Yang hurriedly turned to face the voice calling out. He saw a group of six young adults standing in between two buildings.

Three guys and one girl seemed to be surround something, while the other two, a boy and a girl, stood as if being lookouts.

It was the lookout boy who yelled out to Huang Yang. He had short hair, with black eyes matching its color. He had a thin face and body, along with basic brown robes. His eyes held some malice as he looked at Huang Yang while licking his lips.

The girl by his side almost choked when he heard him call out to the boy. "What are you doing we aren't supposed to draw attention, you idiot!", she reprimanded him.

Reality soon hit, as her voice seemed to draw far more gazes to them than the boy's callout.

The passers looked at the girl who had yelled. She was average with pimples on her face, dark hair, and small eyes. Like the boy, she was wearing brown robes. This appeared to be the whole group theme or something.

"Never let idiots do lookout it seems", said a lazy voice from behind the boy and girl.

A person left the four-man group, allowing Huang Yang to spot a crying youth with marks all over his small torso. The boy was about Huang Yang's age, but his hair was light brown and his eyes seemed grey. He was blind.

Despite the beating, he still stopped himself from crying, silently enduring.

The man with a lazy voice was tall and masculine, with a strong jaw. He had long black hair and sharp black eyes to go along.

His robe was black as if signaling that he was the leader of the group.

"It's just that kid big brother Shan, he has good stuff, why not beat him up a bit", said the lookout boy with a bootlicking smile.

The leader of the group named Shan took a look at Huang Yang, before letting greed permeate out of his eyes.

"Hey forget that little shit, we found a toy!", he shouted at the other three, still surrounding the blind kid.

"What do you have big brother?", asked and alluring voice. The other girl in the group came walking out, swiftly pushing away the lookout girl, who hardly dared to raise her eyes from the ground.

The leader pointed at Huang Yang, allowing the group to follow his finger. Greed was all they showed.

The alluring girl with long brown hair leaned her body against the leader, slowly whispering something into his right ear, which seemed to make him shiver, before lust replaced greed.

"Lose the blind kid brother Gong, we got something better", said Shan, the leader.

The biggest member of the group picked up the boy, before walking towards Huang Yang. The big man named Gong had short black hair and eyes, with a giant body. His robes were brown like the others, yet seemed even tighter than the alluring woman who apparently wanted what Huang Yang had.

The big man simply threw the boy to the ground not that far from Huang Yang with a dry chuckle.

It looked as if he found this situation amusing when he looked at two weak children.

Huang Yang and the blind kid had the same age each being about seven years old, but the group of young adults had to be about 16 to 19 years old.

Some of them have likely been training for some time now. Perhaps they or their parents once visited the library of martial arts. It wasn't that diffícult for a servant to gain power amongst other servants since they just needed a small amount of success.

While a person couldn't easily tell the realm of others when they were in the opening realm. It wasn't hard to figure out when a person had begun their martial path.

It was obvious to Huang Yang, that three people in this group of slaves had been cultivating for some time, the big guy, the leader, and another thin youth, but since they hardly had enough talent to reach the opening realm at the age of 10, they weren't impressive. The only advantage they possessed was time.

Huang Yang extended his hand grabbing the hand of the blind boy.

The boy's upper body was revealed, showing off scars and fist markings. Seeing the innocent face of the boy, along with the light brown hair, reminded Huang Yang of his little brother, even though the two were the same age.

"It's okay now, what's your name?", Huang Yang said with a smile, which he knew the boy couldn't see.

"I-It's Hao Hai, th-thanks for helping me", the boy said with a shaky voice.

In all honesty, Huang Yang already had a good impression of this boy. He could take a beating without begging and crying out. He wasn't sure about talent, but he also believed that hard work was important, otherwise, he wouldn't let Pen Min send him flying every day when training.

"Give the lowly kid a beating brother Gong, then take his things!", leader Shan called out.

The big guy grunted before turning to look at the two boys, seemingly displeased about him having to work. He curled his hand into a fist.

As if anger led him, he began to drive his qi, enhancing his own overblown physique. He had strong enough muscles to begin with, why make them bigger?

Huang Yang sharpened his eyes, as he focused on the fist coming closer, with a quick look he had a hold of the situation.

He let the Bronzefire greatsword slide off his back, drawing in confused looks from nearby people, as he didn't try to grab it. As if he had no intention of using the sword in the battle. But what they didn't know was that he had the Silent Slash sword, and that he could feel.

"They are all weaker than me..."
