Crynn POV
"Watch out everyone!" I yelled and moved away as soon as the giant's hands moved to our position. I ran out of the way and duked under a gigantic shadow as I hurried up the stairs. This is absolute madness, are the Egyptians crazy!? I came across Ferrous ripping the stairs from the ground and grouping them into big piles.
"Shoot! Shoot!" The vampire pulled his hand back and pushed it with force as the big grouped stones came down on the giant's neck. The giant hit with the surprise impact, yelped and fell down onto the walls. He growled heavily as he rose back, only a slight crack remain on his neck from all that bombardment.
"Emmm... Crap..." We're totally screwed, I screamed in my mind for the third time as not even those rocks, launched at such a force of impact did almost nothing and if you'd count the tiny crack as something, it's more to nothing than just something! At this point, I'm just babbling some nonsense! Maybe C4... No! Too precious!
I looked to my left hand where I'm holding a spear, a spear, a spear, A SPEAR! "Ferrous! Try stabbing this spear into the giant's neck!" I threw the spear onto Ferrous to catch. He looked at it for a moment before levitating the spear. Aiming it with his fingers, he lunged forward, spear in the air, striking at the second.
Whirling it as it go, increasing velocity and pressure for maximum force of impact! The giant getting up, won't know what hit him! As the spear pierced the giant's back, it yelled a painful roar, as the spear became clearly sunk into the depths of the blue stone, cracking it with ease from the outside. Now, to disintegrate it from the inside.
The giant lay there, pain reflected in its lifeless eyes as it tried standing upright. I quickly took one of the Stielhandgranates before tossing it to Ferrous whom caught it with his telekinesis. "Launch this deep into the giant's cracks!" He focused for a moment, adjusting his hand trajectory, measuring the air and pressure of the room, making sure the grenade made its way onto one tiny crack.
And push! The grenade steadily and suspensefully made its way through as the world descends into slow motion, waiting slowly for the grenade to pass through and make its way to the small crack. As it flew through the air, arriving onto the back, passing through all undesignated targets, embedding itself deep within the crack.
As we wait in a split second, a bright explosion ensued as blinding blue light combined with the reddish grenade smoke spread throughout the chamber, the crystal shattering itself to pieces of dust as hundreds of horrifying shrieks made itself known. From the ashes of the crystal, numerous spirits with jackal faces were pulled as if in a gravitational field to a spot in the middle of the room.
A black tear opened up as we caught the glimpse of a dark and fiery hell deep under the crack as all spirits got sucked into it like a huge vacuum cleaner swooping dust. Without any resistant, the spirits all terrifyingly entered the desolate flaming space as it closed up, seemingly never there. "What the absolute bloody hell! Was that!"
Jonathan dropped to the ground, fountains of sweat flowed down like a water tap from his forehead and down from his chin onto the ground. I too am sweating all over the place, those movies where they fight without breaking a sweat are as fake as they come! I need cold, something cold, as I turned my head, a vampire standing cool looking at the downed statue with disregard appeared on my sight.
Vampire has cool skin... COOL SKIN! "Ferrous, mind blowing some wind towards me?" He looked a bit muddled before complying as he took in a large breathe and blew it to me. I was instantly assaulted with relatively cool refreshing air as I fell into deep satisfaction. This is way better than any air conditioning I've known.
The cool breeze, still being blown towards me by the vampire, no more hot, no more sweat! "Ok that's enough, let's keep going," I made my way down to set my eyes on, Jonathan, O'Connell and Evelyn lying down on the sandy floor, dead exhausted. "It's unusual for you not to ask any questions Evelyn," I teased her for a bit seeing her panting mouth and dropping eyes.
"No more asking, I wouldn't understand either way," I grinned before asking my good friend the vampire to blow some air into the hot minded trio. Yes my good friend, I guess going through a life or death moment together already counts us together as friends right? As the blowing continue, the trio quickly regained their right temperatures as they stood up looking more refreshed but still sluggish.
"Come one everyone! We got a tunnel to go through," why so many tunnels bruh, Egyptians must have some kind of tunnel fetish. "This is the last time I'm going treasure hunting, I'm changing my profession once I'm done here," Jonathan exasperatedly stated with determination as he clenched his hands and looked to the skies.
"Quit your imagination, in the end, you're still here for the treasure," I decided to break his resolution and just dragged over to the tunnel where the rest are waiting. "To my estimation, this might be the last tunnel before reaching the last most important room," Ferrous explained and proceeded to head in first.
I shrugged and followed, 1 minute in and there's no traps, no schemes, no hidden passages, just a straight on tunnel. As I followed behind, Ferrous stopped and pulled a tiny lever, inside a wall, lighting the room beyond. I did not even realize we've arrived.
"Finally! Everyone, let me introduce you to the last resting place of Egypt's vampire progenitor!" Ferrous happily said, spreading his arms in the air delightfully like a 5 year old, totally unbecoming of an old immortal vampire.
But I have say, this is truly the magnificent find!
