Mummy Problems

Crynn POV

I woke up to the glorious sunshine, lighting up my day, literally and figuratively. I stretched long and wide, rubbing my eyes, yawning with satisfaction. I haven't had such good sleep in ages, probably influenced by how tired I am yesterday. I looked around to see everyone all ready to head inside Hamunaptra for more exploration.

Argh, this will be the last day we're here and soon enough, I'll be out of here! "O'Connell! You're not tired of this place yet!" Jonathan elbowed him with a 'I'm done with this' look. He looked really, really worn out. This place seems to really take the toll out of people, me included. As soon as I got back to Egypt, I'm having a nice stay at a nice hotel and a haircut.

My hair has grown out of proportions, it's getting too long for my own good. "Today should be our last day here, we're running out of provisions," O'Connell looked coldly onto the entrance of Hamunaptra, what became of a pleasant treasure trip has become a trip of death. At least we got some treasures, money is important in travelling through worlds like this, and all that treasure would amount to quite the amount.

"AGGGGGG," A loud terrifying shout of pain travelled from the entrance. Oh God, this is where it really starts, I groaned beneath my breathe. "What's that!" Jonathan seemed to have thought of everything that had happened until now, becoming pale with fright as he hid himself behind O'Connell.

"I don't know, let's check it out," O'Connell being the brave protagonist he is, decided that the best thing to do is to run into danger, sadly that's a must. Anyway, with ferrous by our side, the mummy won't hold a candle against him. It also looked like among the panic last night, Evelyn has silently returned the book onto the older egyptologist's hands.

i couldn't understand how she could read the Egyptian out loud either, I though I heard her quote, 'Egyptian is a long lost language'. Too much of this doesn't make sense, and neither does three movies mixed together! I guess I'll just see how everything goes after this. We arrived to the scene to see a goddamn mummy sucking on one of Henderson's guys.

This is so disgusting, that pasty rotten flesh, kissing onto the poor man's lips, sucking out the life energy out of him and rebuilding the flesh of the mummy. Yuck, Jonathan and Evelyn looked like they were gonna puke, my stomach threatened to shoot off on the sight. Not too long later, Henderson and the rest of his team arrived carrying carbines and pistols.

"Oh lord, is that Daniels!" Henderson looked absolutely horrified and the mummy turned to look at us, dropping the now dry corpse of the man now identified as Daniels down. "حبيبتى (My love) !" the mummy turn to looke at Evelyn, his expression morphed into something of love, his eyes just then dull, turned alive as he looked at her.

"Shoot! Shoot!" Henderson gave his command to everyone, arming their carbines shooting everything they've got onto the mummy. After that first volley, everyone thought the thing was gone! But here it is, still standing gazing at Henderson with such malice, it would give Maleficent a run for her money.

I momentarily shuddered and motioned Ferrous on my side to 'get rid of him'. Raising his hands slightly, Ferrous lowered the gravity pressure around the mummy and directed the gravity amplified by more than 10 times to the right. the mummy without realizing a thing, suddenly got flown to the far right, crashing through all rubble and its now God knows where.

I honestly can't believe Ferrous did all that in just a second, either his telekinesis is just that good, or his mind is just that strong. "I believe we should leave earlier than expected," I whispered my opinions to O'Connell which looked like he really wishes to leave as soon as possible. I expected the mummy to soon be awake once more and he would surely go after Evelyn.

"Henderson, I believe we would be parting sooner than expected, we have gotten our fair share of treasure," O'Connell said quickly and with a steady composure as he shook hands with a baffled Henderson before finally rushing out as fast as he could walk. "We have achieved quite the gain here, and I wouldn't want to annoy anymore Gods or spirits by being here any longer."

O'Connell explained to the rest of the team, Evelyn seemed disappointed, Jonathan is very well ecstatic and Ferrous looks pleased in the prospect of reaching back to his home in Volterra, Italy. i however am dreading for the few days to come, better to get over with everything and then taking my time to relax. I swear if the next world is as rushed as this one, I wouldn't be too pleased.

I looked past O'Connell in the background to find a familiar man rushing down the dunes on a horse. Is that Ardeth Bay, what is he here for? He arrived with haste as he looked down at us from his horse. "You vampire and the wizard, this has officially became ministerial business, you need to leave quickly while we stop the monster from escaping, if we could."

"The monster what is he talking about?" O'Connell watched on as Ardeth bay returned to the sand dunes beyond as he looked puzzled, dude we just fought said monster. "He's referring to the mummy which is also immortal," I shook my head, annoyed by how everything went on, annoyance is middle name these days.

"What did he mean by wizard," Evelyn plunged in to our conversation by asking me the question i don't want to answer, come on think of a bluff, you're always good at lying and bluffing. "he's probably still sour from me shooting his horse down," I convincingly shrugged it off even if Evelyn kept staring at me with those suspicious eyes, I wouldn't answer a thing.

"Ferrous, why don't you go take one of those corpses with us so you could drink on the journey, and you can also take one of those camels with you, Henderson's team won't need them all," I stated for fact, I can't let a vampire get hungry in the middle of the desert with nothing, and quite a few of Henderson's man had died already and so they won't be needing all that camel and horses.

One thing I have to say, Hamunaptra, it's good to be away from you. And Egypt here I come!
