General POV
"I'm saying this once more, but finally I'm out of that mess," Kendo wiped his sweat as he looked at Mikhail and Jill, both showing pretty impressive poker faces, not that it matters when 'the eyes are the windows to the soul' which means that they want out too. "Yeah, I'm glad too," Kendo, ignored by those two grudgingly said as he pushed the door.
All of a sudden, a long hand with five finger claws and disgusting green muscly texture all over, showed up in between the gap of the double doors, totally surprising Kendo. They silently backed off, ready with their guns, fingers positioned so close to their triggers, they might accidently push it to fire.
Soon enough, the hand opened the door and a sickly creature came in. Those claws look longer up close, looking like numerous sickles attached the all fingers, even its toes. It hardly had any eyes, just two small lime beads on the sides of its head. Only adding up to its intimidation is the way its teeth moves, 6 separate big canine segments, moving up and down menacingly as if its crunching on something.
Then it suddenly roared, spitting its saliva everywhere and his arms spread wide, trying to scare the trio. "Not happening today!" Mikhail instantly shot the hell out of the monster along with Jill and Kendo, both taking their shotgun rounds to a whole other level, concentrating all fire on the monster's shell head, tearing it apart and killing it in a span of 4 seconds of total gunfire.
"Now we know what those claw marks are," Mikhail said, glaring on the dead creature, its head entirely wrecked, no chance of surviving that! "I've met zombies, zombie dogs, mutated spiders, underground sewer slug monsters and what's this on?!" Jill rambled on as she slightly kicked the dead monster's body, earning no nudge.
"Whatever that thing is there's gotta be more of 'em, we need to stay alert," good word of advice from Kendo, these creatures are agile, armored, and lethal. A slight misstep might just result in the death of the entire team. The team, exited the room and entered the glass corridor, swiftly approaching the door at the end of it.
"Oh great, another bloody room!" Kendo gripped his hair, frustrated by the new sight of the new room. Just like before, a total mess. A doctor's half sliced body lay on the floor along with a running blood trail and one of the doors just had the right moment to open as two zombies came out of it. Bang! Bang! Bang! Took slightly more shots this time for Mikhail as one of the zombies just won't fall with only one bullet sticking into its brain.
"Can't expect anything less from a zombie hospital. this has a worse element of horror than those Japanese haunted hospitals," Mikhail jovially said, he had been to a Japanese haunted hospital once, it ain't scary for even a second, he had to be kicked out for accidently punching one of the employees face for trying to scare ambush him.
"I'm already not looking forward to this," Jill mouthed a 'yuck!' at the dead doctor's remaining upper body, his intestines and stomach parts had all slid down inelegantly, showcasing just how much of a clutter this whole hospital is. "If I'm ever to die, I won't want to go the way the man had gone," I don't anyone wants that, Kendo.
"Let's just proceed as quick as possible," Kendo went behind the counter and tried to push the door behind it, "Keycard needed." Jill steadily walked through and inserted the keycard into the lock, with a bright green confirmation light and a small pleasant hum, the door opened. "It's another corridor and oh God!"
The moment Jill turned her head right, she had her eyes pinned on the window, or perhaps beyond the window. Where two of the creatures are dissecting and amputating the crap out of the zombies, tearing limb from body and body from body, brain from head. Spurting the blood everywhere, onto the walls, to the ground, to the glass in front of Jill's face.
"Are hospital windows bulletproof?" Jill shaking, asked to the two, both also horrified and terrified at what is transpiring within the room past the windows. "I don't think so," Kendo said quietly, his eyes evading the sight of the two monsters utterly destroying multiple zombies' bodies. "Then we should take care of this."
Jill shattered the window with one smash of her shotgun stock and quick on the trigger, she drew her grenade launcher, currently filed fully with explosive rounds and shot off two rounds towards two directions. Without so much of a warning, the two monsters descended into flames and died just as horrible as it the zombies it ripped out.
"Good idea," Mikhail praised Jill as he looked at the slowly burning room. "Oh no! Is that the voice recorder!" Kendo abruptly shouted and pointed at a rectangular thing on one of the lockers in the room next to the fire, it's the voice recorder! "That can't be good!" Jill rushed down the corridor into a room and two shotgun shots were heard a she entered the door into the flaming room.
On her hands, a fire extinguisher, directly releasing the white foam everywhere, cleansing the room of its fire, putting it all out. "Whooh! That's a close one!" Jill dropped the fire extinguisher in a metallic bonk and neared the locker. Grabbing the voice recorder, she tried clicking a button to see if it would still work.
"All I wanted to know was what the documents were doing in your office in the first place," a female voice first began with a tone of implication. "Who do you think you're talking to?! I'm Goddamn Nathaniel Bard! I'm the best biologist and geneticist you'll ever meet, you bedpan-changing waste of a nursing degree!"
"Of course I have connections higher up! Of course the military consults with me on projects beyond your comprehension! So stop wasting my time with your nosy questions! And get back to work!" The doctor's voice stopped, "I-I'm sorry doctor," the female nurse stuttered. "Of course you're sorry! What's that in you hand! Give it to me!"
And the audio recording stopped there. "The doctor really is a hubristic ass isn't he," Kendo said wryly, I couldn't help but agree with that.
