Inside Dr. Nathaniel Bard's Office

General POV

"He IS Dr. Nathaniel Bard, even if he sexually assaulted someone in public or worst murdered someone, he wouldn't be sent to prison. Of course, he wouldn't do any of those. He has some kind of a superiority complex, he won't stoop so low to rape someone inferior to him or murder one on the pretense of, 'too worthless to even bother'."

Mikhail explained, he has read all the files pertaining Dr. Nathaniel Bard before leading the mission. "Well, we have gotten the voice recorder so now, let's get the hell out of here, rescue the doctor and the vaccine, locate the helicopter, and we're out to the nearest US Military base," Jill simply said and it's never gonna be that easy is it. After all, it's as easy a pie to say, as difficult as climbing a mountain to do.

"So, go through that door straight through the corridor," Jill walked off to the door she came barging from as Mikhail and Kendo followed her orders and jogged through the door, meeting her in a hospital laundry and handyman room. On the ground two zombies with their heads obliterated by what looks like shotgun slugs, guess we now know what the two shotgun shots are for.

"So, I reckon going through this yellow metal door will lead us... I'm correct," Jill opened the yellow painted metal door that showed us right out to the corridor. "That's convenient," Kendo mumbled walking out, scratching the back of his head as he looked down a crushed window to the courtyard. "Could we directly jump down?"

"Hmm, we could," Jill looked out the window and measured the height, probably around 3 and a half meters tall, nothing we couldn't do. "Ugh, no sweat," Jill suddenly jumped without warning and landed steadily on her two feet, looking up in a challenging taunt with a smirk. "Nothing an old bone couldn't do," Mikhail jumped as well, landing safely without a scratch's harm.

"Should've taken those gymnastic courses," Kendo eventually leaped down, closing his eyes as he also made it on both feet. "Well done, not so hard, is it," Jill patted Kendo's shoulders twice and went out the courtyard into another room with a door on its left wall and the corridor on the right completely blocked off.

"One way to go," Jill remarked as she pushed the door, and the team's back to the room next to Nathaniel Bard's office! Everyone cheered in their hearts, all feeling content in making their way back to their starting spot to finally rescue Dr. Nathaniel Bard and get the vaccines to cure kendo's daughter and Calian.

"Great!" Jill had all the smiles on her face as she went through the door back to Dr. Nathaniel Bard's front reception and pushed the voice recorder out. Pressing the button right in front of the speaker, the voice recorder starts running. "...I'm Goddamn Nathaniel Bard..." and replied by "Voice recognition match," the cold robotic voice sounded and aa green light with a beep came out along with an unlocked door.

"You mean this flimsy door managed to hold its own against an MGL explosive round!" Jill dropped her mouth once the doors opened back. It's just like any regular metal door, only a thickness of around 4 cm, nothing big but ultimately dense enough to defend against an MGL explosive round. "Specially made Umbrella alloy, I invented it, never expected to be trapped by my own invention. Thankfully, Umbrella never got the formula for it!"

An old, energetic sounding voice appeared from inside the office and there he stood, Dr. Nathaniel Bard himself. He certainly looked the way an accomplished doctor would, with his long clean lab coat, beige slacks and normal blue dress shirts. His face still young yet old, his eyes bright with vitality containing will and anger.

Tidy grey hair, barely any stress wrinkles, on the first and continued glance, he's but a fine old doctor. "Well come in! Stop wasting any time!" The doctor called out impatiently gesturing for everyone to enter his 'humble abode'. Everyone entered looking around the office that doesn't look like an office at all.

It's more a laboratory than an office with beakers, test tubes, Bunsen burners and other apparatus lying all over the tables and desks of the room. "You can't expect the world's best geneticist and biologist to have a clean office, can you?" the doctor said, reeking with sarcasm as he plunged himself down the comfy rotating chair.

"You know, I was invited to a party 20 days ago. With the corrupt Mayor Michael Warren and similarly corrupt Chief of Police Brian Irons. Yes! Your chief! They can't anticipate me on participating in a ball of corrupt senile money-bangers, shameless bastards. And that is not what irritates me the most!"

"They had the gall to say, 'We booked a suite for an afterparty. You're a brunette guy right? I'll let Irons know', if that's not a hogwash if I see one, than i don't know what! Just because my favorite nurse just happened to have brown hair doesn't mean I like brown hair! I like the nurse in the first place because of her work ethics!"

"For all I know, brown hair is terrible! No offense young lady but I prefer oriental black as I have an Asian wife of my own you see, heart-struck beautiful! And well, you know how it goes in the end. I didn't come to the party, offended some guys and now I'm here, trapped in this madhouse of a hospital with a bunch of Hunter Betas running rampant!'

Jill and the others just watched silently, not knowing what to say, not knowing what to think. The only thoughts in their head were, 'This doctor's quite the chitter-chatter, isn't he?'. "Now, where are my manners. Welcome to my office, you three are pretty capable for getting the recorder in such a place and I appreciate it."

"And now, what you're looking for, yes the vaccine. I've currently have only got two doses!" Two doses! Well that's a shocker! What will Jill decide, for Calian and Kendo's daughter or for the future of mankind! See for yourselves in the next episode! I'm not joking...
