General POV
"What do you mean you've only got two doses?!" Jill yelled out in front of the doctor, feeling very frustrated from the revelation. Two doses? Only enough for Kendo's daughter and Calian, what could she do?! "Calm down, the doctor did say he has CURRENTLY two doses nut he doesn't say PERMANENTLY, am I correct doctor?"
"Clever, platoon leader. Yes, fortunately for Umbrella, they managed to destroy most of the doses. Unfortunately for them! I managed to get these two doses along with a pile of them down in NEST 2. If we could enter the facility and get that cache, we would have more than 2 dozen vaccines at the ready. What am I saying, of course we're entering NEST 2, the helicopter is through there."
Dr. Nathaniel Bard explained and sneered at Jill, feeling that she's rather uncivilized, cops these days, am I right? "Now, we best get prepared," the doctor said before he went into a small back room in haste and came out with two injection tubes on his hand, both containing a very pretty glowing neon violet liquid.
"My babies," he remarked before stuffing it into Jill's hands before scurrying to a computer next to the back room. Jill exchanged looks with Mikhail whom shrugged and Kendo just looked on confusingly at the interaction and the doctor's actions. The doctor finally returned with a VHS tape on his hand which he also gifted Jill with.
"Before you guys made it here, I pre-recorded a video tape containing my confession and Umbrella secrets. If for an instance that I don't make it out alive, I want this in capable NON-corrupt government hands. Preferably military," it seemed that the doctor had really prepared for his downfall, a last message, nothing gets better than that.
"Where are the patients needing the vaccines," this doctor really doesn't give a chance for anyone to speak, he's a very talkative man which makes him even more amusing. "Right, this way please," Jill said as the doctor has finished packing everything into his leather briefcase. Important documents and manifests, research papers, a bottle of water and some pills.
"Take me to them!" The doctor said seriously, following Jill out of the office. "This is the first one, she's Kendo's daughter," Jill explained and pointed at Kendo in which the doctor raised his eyes to look onto. "You're the rude fellow, aren't you? Lovely daughter, I myself had two girls, both grew up beautifully, an absolute genius just below me."
There goes the doctor's arrogance and bragging, at least he complimented Kendo's daughter. "You could directly inject the vaccine into any part of the body," he told Jill after finishing checking up the poor girl, his eyes open with intent to research as the vaccine has only been tested against a virus sample and not an infected human, not that he had informed to the team. He would, if the vaccine is proven succesful.
The moment Jill injected the violet substance into the girl's wrist, a reaction has started showing with her pale skin turning to normal and her bulging veins simmered back down. She stopped convulsing once every so often and just laid there seemingly asleep. "Wonderful! In the labs, we've only tested it against the virus sample. But now, that it had proven successful against the virus in humans, it could get better!"
"You mean you've never tested it on humans?" Jill tilted her head as she stared onto Dr. Nathaniel Bard's eyes, it looked like it wanted to bore deep within them to hide all the secrets he hid. "Umbrella never approved our request in testing it on humans. Never knew why," he looked upon the girl with fascination, not noticing the Jill's glare at all.
"What's her name?" The doctor randomly asked, taking Kendo by surprise by the sudden question. "Natalie, her name's Natalie," Kendo curtly answered while stroking Natalie hair with affection. "Is she born on Christmas?" Another random question causing Kendo to feel taken aback. 'What's with all the questions?' Kendo thought in his head.
"No she's not," this earned a raised brow from the doctor, muddling Kendo. "Natalie means born on Christmas day which your daughter is not," the doctor gave a friendly yet unfriendly smile as he patted Kendo's shoulders and turned back to Jill. "Anyone else?" He said expressionlessly without a hint of tone change, completely still in the middle.
"He's up front," Jill replied, standing there leaning on the counter. "What are you waiting for then! Lead the way! No time for needless dilly-dally!" The doctor said harshly earning him another glare from Jill. 'Can't be angry with this prick,' Jill thought frustratingly as she guided the team to the room where Calian lay undisturbed.
At the same time they stepped foot on the front door reception, the double glass doors opened wide welcoming to the sight of Carlos and Tyrell into the hospital, how timely! "Jill, Captain!" Carlos's eyes instantly lit up and greeted the two in a jovial mood, his face smiling with delight, knowing that the two made it safely all the way here.
"Carlos, the guy behind, glad you're safe," Jill responded with a smile of her own and Mikhail hummed and nodded at them, showing that he's indeed proud of them to have survived till now. "Raccoon Police Department is a shit hole but what isn't. Where's Super Spy?" After being done on the jokes, Carlos turned serious regarding Calian because he knew that the latter was hurt.
"In the room. But before that, let me introduce-" Jill is again cut by someone else as the doctor cleared his throat loudly. "I am Dr. Nathaniel Bard, prided American researcher, best biologist and geneticist in the world!" Here comes the arrogant Bard once more, his ego couldn't get any higher, could it?
"Y-Yea, that's him," Jill muttered while glaring even more onto the doctor and shifted her eyes back to the door just separating them from Calian. "Can we continue this later, we still need to administer the vaccine to Calian," it just had to be Jill to urge them into the room to watch the injection of the vaccine take place.
Jill neared Calian and plunged the small injection needle into his wrist as she pressed the plunger, allowing the purple fluids access deep past his skin and into his blood vessels. "You'll be safe," Jill mumbled as she gazed at Calian not with worry but with faith. And yes, he will indeed be safe.
