Calian POV
"Please return my knife," Carlos pleaded after seeing the state of his knife, blood running down the handle, smearing it all, fully covering it in the red delight. "With pleasure," the doctor said handing over the knife as Carlos carefully grabbed it with a napkin and held it up, showing an expression of disgust.
The doctor took out a bottle of water and rinsed his hand, also dirtied in infected blood with pure distilled water. "So, Umbrella has tasked us in either a genuine goose chase or a wild one. We've only got 2 hours left, we better move quick," Mikhail grimly said, before going past the dead pale head on the floor and onto another cargo lift.
We all swiftly entered it and it took us up right to an open circuit box with an unbroken fuse, how coincidental. "Don't forget, we need three of these," the doctor reminded everyone once again before taking out the fuse and into his case. "Moving on," we descended down a ladder to an area with some of the tallest storage racks I've ever seen!
"Zombie dogs!" Tyrell shouted as two growling dogs slowly exited the shadows, they look starving, both in the sense of digestion and madness. Bang! Carlos aimed his gun and dispatched the two dogs with utmost ease. "One of your friends doc?" Carlos asked in seeing a researcher walk out, it's a zombie of course just like most of the citizens in this Godforsaken city.
"None that I know of," the doctor said aloofly then the zombie got gunned down by Mikhail. We then passed in between the two tall racks and underneath a hanging Umbrella truck, it would be disastrous if the truck fell on top of our heads. "Are we getting a pay raise after this boss?" Carlos let out a joke in the middle of this tense situation.
"Nope, because I'm quitting after this!" Mikhail instantly said, not noticing the tone of humor and proceeded up the stairs. "Well that's quite the party of zombies," we finally arrived at a ledge where a ladder is leading us downwards to exactly seven researcher zombies and a Gamma! "So? We just blow them up," Jill deadpanned and chucked a couple of grenades down there.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! The zombies all got thrown off by the fragmentation explosion and laid lifelessly on the ground while the Gamma still is kicking. Not for long though as Jill shot at it with a flame round, completely eviscerating the skin off. "That's easy," the doctor looked around to see if there's anything more and finally jumped down, "Completely safe."
"And there's our second fuse," everyone mentally applauded the doctor as he retrieved the second fuse from another circuit box and climbed back up the ladders. "Where's the last one?" Kendo said in the middle of the moment. "Well, if anything, I guess it's through there," the doctor pointed at a door in the end of the corridor next to the staircase, it's a door we completely missed.
"Well then," I silently stated and everyone has now stood just outside the room where this door leads to. "Wonder what's the surprise here- Whoa!" Carlos opened the door and his face turned into one of surprise. Everyone swiftly moved in and stared at what's so surprising. There's just two zombies and a pale head munching on a dead man on the floor.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Without a warning, Mikhail first raised and shot his rifle, everyone followed after, mimicking a firing line but the three zombies in the end of it instead of death sentence criminals. "Hooh," Mikhail wiped a sweat, the doctor moved first inside the relatively small room and took out the pistol. He shot the pale head in the head 5 times before finally stopping.
"Must you do that doc? We've shot the monster's head many a time already," Tyrell's face contorted to a revolting look as he stared down onto the pale head whose face has been entirely ruined with gaping holes all over. Tyrell eventually averted his eyes somewhere else to avoid looking at the sickening sight.
"A precaution is better than ignoration. You have no idea how dangerous a pale head is. With a speed 2 times faster than an ordinary zombie and regeneration abilities on par with our dear friend. You need to take these monsters seriously," the doctor warned solemnly, his eyes narrowing and his creases more apparent.
He opened the door to a long pathway with the circuit box in the end. "The third and the final fuse," everyone tacitly cheered as the doctor came back with it. "Back to the elevator," a minute later, we have reached back to the elevator and the doctor has finished placing all three fuses back inside the circuit box, at long last, we can leave this cargo bay.
"Step on in," the doctor said as everyone gathered in the elevator and the doctor pressed a blue button, "Going Up." I love hearing an elevator's mechanical voice, I just don't know why but I love it along with the classical music playing. "High tech overseer viewing," the elevator stopped an we exited in this futuristic room with a 3 step stair going down and a door at the end.
"Okay, so this is the part I fear the most. This door uses fingerprint recognition, and I've got no idea if Umbrella has already wiped my access off," the doctor gave a disclaimer before tapping all five of his right hand fingers on the console connected to the electronic door. "Welcome, Chief Vaccine Researcher Dr. Nathaniel Bard," the same mechanical voice said again and the door opened wide.
"I'm still allowed," the doctor turned and said to everyone. We entered into the middle of a long corridor, looking left and right all safe no enemies. Boom! ROAR! All of a sudden, the end of the right corridor got blasted and a roar that had settled a deep rooted fear within me came out of the debris smoke.
Nemesis crawled out in all its glory and continued roaring like a feral dog! "Shit! Shit! Shit! SHIT!" the doctor was the first to fully react and instantly dashed forward, bringing everyone back from their own minds. "F*ck! F*ck! F*CK!" The doctor continued as everyone is continuing to run for their lives towards the left corridor with a big monster chasing on our backs!
"Shut!" After making it to the end, the doctor immediately pressed a red emergency button on the wall and a thick metal gate closed behind us, trapping the Nemesis! "I shot 8 SAM missiles at the f*cking monster!!! How the hell is it not dead!" Mikhail rages and kicked a nearby chemical box to the wall.
"That's Nemesis-T type, made to track and kill! It's all brawns and made to be as resilient as a water bear! Let's just hope it will be confined behind the gate," yes, I hope for that as well doctor but I know for sure that it won't after all, I've played the game before and let's just say, final form Nemesis is un pleasant, highly unpleasant at all.
