Crynn POV
Ok, ok, calm down. This is just an item at the staring point, I guess I would expect greater things in the future. But firstly, how do I exactly wear this? Is it a belt? Because I only see chains connected on both sabers but how do I even wear chains? Doesn't sound very nice, is it? Or... maybe I could try that out.
I readily detach my makeshift scabbard of the goblin zweihänder which I obviously do not need anymore thanks to this pair of much more powerful sabers in my disposal. I then do the next step, which is inserting the sabers into my 'inventory'. "Cool," I remarked seeing the boxy inventory similar to games such as Minecraft though I've never played the game, I have watched it before.
Hmm... I then tap the box with the image of the sword and a blue tab came out from the upper right of the box. There's two options to be chosen, to equip or to retrieve and since my very purpose of doing this is to put it around my waist I clicked the equip button. I felt my waist grow a kilogram or two heavier and I looked down.
My empty waist is now very much full with a ornamental belt and the dual swords attached to the left and right side of my waist, I look like a French aristocratic member walking around with these two sabers, I can't help but gloat. The next problem is, I've never ever heard of anyone admitting in the convenience of dual wielding swords. Why is that?
Because dual wielding is one of the hardest techniques in any kind of skillset. From dual wielding guns to dual wielding badminton rackets, it's an utmost hassle to do! Not only would you have to split your focus in handling the right and left hand at once, you'd also need to split your eyesight in two different lines. Hence the impracticality of the ability.
I guess I can't ever use two swords at once then, controlling one is hard enough, controlling two at once?! Might as well not succeed for the rest of my life. I have a huge grin on my face at the moment expressing my satisfaction. Who says that I care about dual wielding, in this dangerous reality of travelling worlds, just having these sabers is already life saving.
"Time for the lottery," I can be quite addicted to lotteries. I once bought 100 lottery tickets and won 1000 dollars not bad right but yet, not so good. But oh well, lotteries are always luck based except maybe in some casinos or most casinos where the bosses employed programmers to code the system, changing the percentage of achieving a lottery win to a nigh impossible level.
But I have full faith on this lottery! "Spin the wheel!" I exaggeratingly said and the huge lottery wheel started spinning in speeds! The colors and drawn lines on the wheel forms a hypnotic esture that would really reel someone in to continue playing the lottery if not for the lottery being only a one time usage at this time.
{Congratulations, you've acquired a Purple Mastery Book}
What... Is that what I think it is? No way, my luck can't be that good! I gazes towards my hand which is unknowingly gripping a dark brown book with a purple aura. An illustration is also painted on the front title. The illustration is on a man and a woman both holding two sabers in their palms, slashing against each other, none winning and none losing!
{Senior Mastery On The Subjects Of Dual Wielding Sabers}
{Purple Mastery Book)
{Directly receive the mastery of a senior on the subject of dual wielding sabers.}
{Learn}
"Hahahahahaha!" I laughed out loud to the air pronouncing my colossal contentment! With this book and my two sabers! I will wreck everybody in any worlds! (A.N : You think future enemies are that easy huh! Just the next world you're going to has a butt load of enemies that would need much more than two sabers and a mastery to defeat!)
"Of course learn!" I gleefully tapped the learn button and the book shrunk into a stream of purple rays that penetrated through my head into my brain. This is awesome! I though that the forceful transfer of knowledge into the brain would lead to catastrophic failure or at least some kind of head pains.
But this, I instantly gained 5 years worth of memories on dual wielding! I just have an extension on my brain, it's like downloading a DLC for a game but in my brain! I pulled both sabers out of both scabbards and displayed a set of movements, not motions to attack and defend but maneuvers of elegance and grace.
What's the difference? Elegance and grace is only achievable with excessive movements and not too much energy conservation, only focusing on art and not on practicality. But motions of offence and defense are direct, mostly simple but complicated to do, there aren't any unreasonable gestures, only straight and unswerving.
[I have returned ad I come with my surprise, you'd surely be delighted.]
I heard the voice and stopped my sword dance and inserted the two sabers back in their scabbards with one sole swift action. "Where's the surprise," I'm typically not a man of surprises, I don't really like revelations and neither do I like being shocked. But surprises are a different issue. While shock is usually used to describe something upsetting and revelation for something dramatic, surprising is often astonishing.
[Your surprise is due in... now]
The space in front of me distorted and a swirl black crack into the void opened! But what came out is very surprising as it is surely astonishing! Appearing directly my 12 o'clock is a young woman, not more than 25 years of age. She has oriental black cute bob hair that looks so smooth and silky that I'd very much like to pet all day long!
Her face is angled perfectly on all sides with bright decisive gray eyes you could just stare and fall into forever. The women's tracksuit she's currently adorning doesn't help either but full black does suit her. She's the typical girl next door, beautiful, not overly curvy like you'd see in famous celebrities with their disgustingly humongous breasts and buttocks, but definitely athletic and certainly attractive.
"I'm sorry but who're you?"
