Calian POV

{Fire Manipulation for Beginners}

{Purple Skill Book)

{Created by a master of the fiery arts, he wrote 5 books pertaining the journey of fire manipulation. From the beginners book, teaching precisely how to first control the surrounding heat to produce flames up to the grandmaster level book which teaches you how to blend flames into your blade and become one with heat.}

{Skills}

{Elementary Fire Manipulation: To first begin the arts of the flames, you need to sense heat and transfer it to a point in which you want the flames to generate at, this requires immense concentration in the very beginning}

Ooh, this is a nice skill to have. What I don't really understand is the sensing part, what exactly do we sense it with? I'm sure I'll instantly figure it out once the book turns into light and shot to my brain. I gazed at the book, it's front cover consist of a very lonely fire in darkness, lighting up only a part of the room as it continued on to fight the dark, very sentimental.

And so, I can't wait to manipulate fire and I swiftly learnt the book. The book turned into particles of colorful lights dominated by red and it entered the center of my forehead and... nothing? I don't feel any knowledge? I don't feel like I know how to control fire yet? What is going on? Ohhhh... No, do I have to learn the process of sensing heat myself?!

How hard is it to sense heat? Just touch some fire and there's heat! Even if you don't touch the fire, convection and radiation will transfer the heat to my sense anyway. I'm extremely frustrated and finally sighed, why don't I just try that later, if I have to practice, I'll practice. I can survive a grueling 15 years of all kinds of economic studies to a mere flame manipulation.

I can handle this, I just need to learn how to sense heat, which I'm sure is easy enough. "What do you get?" Jill asked from behind, is flame manipulation better than Jill's expert hacking, I'm not sure, maybe it is and isn't at the same time. "Fire Manipulation for Beginners," I answered curtly, the name already explained the obvious.

"Does this mean you can control fire now?" Jill questioned, can I control fire? "Apparently, different from yours, I need to learn it first. From how to sense heat and direct it to a specific point to produce fire," I sighed once thinking that I won't get an instant power-up, but the skill itself is practical and one I'm willing to waste my time on.

"Let me introduce you around these parts, the wheel I just spun is the lottery wheel. The slot machine over there is not the same as the ones you'll find in Las Vegas or Macao, instead of using money to get more money, it gives us our missions. And that ATM machine is something new I've never seen," so, I just remembered again that Jill is new and hadn't had the idea of what these machines might be, so a little introduction would do.

"Is the mission fixed or random?" That is a very good question and based on the machine, I'm sure I can answer that. "Seeing as it uses a slot machine, is gambling random or is it fixed and cheating? Who knows? Maybe it's both random and fixed just like how destiny is set and can't be changed," yes, destiny is quite an interesting subject.

Everyone has one line in destiny and time has no effect on it. Even if you go back to the past an change an event, everyone's destiny will continue on, from the previous event before the past is changed, a new event is made and it continues from that specific line, the destiny doesn't change, only the life changes. At least, that's my view.

"Alright then, I'll just think that I got here be chance, eh?" Jill mused which is good, no negative thoughts. "Okay... What is this ATM machine?" I murmured and approached the banking device, there's a saying, if you can't rob a bank vault, 10 gas station ATMs would suffice, that saying totally doesn't exist but I'm just putting it out there that stealing ATMs are more profitable than robbing the Bank of America but you shouldn't do this at home.

As I went near, the screen lighted up, and a very narcistic picture appeared next. It is once again, of Zeus standing mighty in Mount Olympus, looking down on the whole world as if everything below him is non-existent. And then, the picture faded away into darkness as two words lighted up, 'Olympic Store'... wow.

Let me guess... My guess is correct. It's just like Amazon, it's an online store, just built in an ATM, an ATM that comes equipped with keyboards which is unusual but it makes sense when the ATM's purpose is simply an online store. Let's see, catalogs, search bar and the amount of mission merit I, now we, have.

So, apparently, the reward for completing a hard mission is twice as much mission merits as the normal missions. For example, the normal Kingsman World, I only achieved 5000 mission merits because the bonus objectives are all absurd tasks to break Kingsman records like capturing 10 supervillains in a month which is unbelievable.

Counting up my mission merit, first mission is 5000, second mission is 12500 with some extra completed bonus objectives and third mission is 10000 which totals a 27500 mission merits that I could spend with. "is there anything to clean my clothes with?" I muttered subconsciously as I scrolled down the screen.

The screen suddenly transitioned into another page with multiple items. Is this voice activated as well? I looked at he first item and clicked at it. 'All Purpose Detergent'? "Detergent?" Jill suddenly said beside my ear, God she shocked me, I didn't even her footsteps. "Yes, I need to clean my deluxe pants and shoes from the bloody sewer waters.

Yuck, disgusting.
