Crynn POV

Upon hearing the name, Ms. Rogue here flashed her eyes in surprise but hid it as quick as it appeared which is almost in an instant, but my careful eye caught that, could this 'V' be of any significance to her? "And why would you be looking for our newest addition to the Night City Legends," she calmly spoke as she grew serious, hmm.

"We want to hire her for a job, she's a merc right?" And mercenaries always do anything for money, well anything that is most things. "Wait a minute," she sighed and reached for her pants pocket and pulled out a thin piece of transparent glass. but wait, it is no ordinary glass, it's a transparent phone, apparently, technology has evolved so far, but not social society.

She tapped the screen as it glowed and showed the lock screen and after the several pressing of buttons, she held her phone up next to her near as she crossed her legs and relaxed into the couch. Is she calling Valerie Crest? I think she is, this is weird. "Hey, V, how're you doing," looks like her call got through along with a greeting that shows familiarity.

"Yes I'm fine, why am I calling you, you ask? That's because a group of four just landed a professionally expensive AV in front of the Afterlife, they're looking for you, they say they have a gig," gig? Does anyone except for musicians say jobs as gigs? Not me, not anyone I know, it's always been a job and job always. Also, I feel flattered by the expensive judgement.

"Hmm... Mhm... Alright, see you later then," She hung up her phone and put it back into the left pocket, something for me to put my attention on in case Ms. Valerie declined. "So I have to give my forward pardon that the legend you're requesting for isn't available, meaning she isn't up for jobs for a length of time that's still undecided."

"Since when do information brokers, illegal ones, ask for permission first," right on point Jill, that's also what I'm wondering. From years of buying floor blueprints, guard movements, and schedules from illegal information brokers, never did I encounter one whom call for some museum owner to ask for an affirmation to sell the information.

"V's a friend, and friends have a place in my heart and mind, and she's one friend I wouldn't mess with either. I however can recommend you to many other men and women who will be willing to help you on whatever gig you've got," I looked at the three as they looked around, I met eyes with Calian and did a two finger motion to call him closer.

"Most main characters have plot armor, this one shouldn't be an exception, so we shouldn't agree to hire anyone else if we can get the best, am I right? But don't worry, I have a plan," I whispered by his ear as Aria and Jill looked curious, now that Calian had heard it all, he agreed with a nod and is apparent that he's intrigued by my so called plan, a simple two step plan, first step is to shake hands, and the second is to grab.

"No, we only need the best and by her very recent achievement, I can only say that we need someone like her, someone you don't have," Calian spoke in a gentle soothing tone that doesn't exactly comfort, it promotes sarcasm and a bit of a threat. Rogue Amendiares certainly caught that and her eyes gleamed in danger, oops.

"Anyway, perhaps we shan't stay here any longer, even though the 'hospitality' we received were definitely the best I've ever received. To put it simply, we have a train to catch," I further emphasize the 'hospitality' by gazing around the bar, towards everyone who had their eyes on us and their hands on their guns, I'm feeling the extra sarcastic today. Now, time for the plan.

Calian POV

I'm pretty sure we've just offended the woman, two sarcastic remarks might be way too much for someone with a weak mentality, but for someone to be called number one, they should have a high mental strength. And Rogue Amendiares would not take revenge on us for two crude 'insults' but only dislike us.

"Well all things considered, I still have to thank you with a handshake," Crynn stood up as the three of us followed after his actions, he has a hand out, why would he ask for a handshake? Rogue Amendiares narrowed her eyes as she took the handshake with a firm one. The next bit of movement impressed me, a lot.

Crynn's right hand moved downwards immediately after he withdrew it from the handshake. His hands were so quick, I thought I was watching the flash in action, of course the flash would be much faster but you get what I'm insinuating here. The hands arrive next to Rogue's left pants pocket and his nimble fingers, managed to get a pinch on the tip of her transparent phone.

He pulled it out much quickly then before and thank God I still have an 100% clear eyesight or I wouldn't have seen the way Crynn pulled the phone out and pushed it inside the long sleeves of his ancient long tux, that was incredible and it all happened in the span of a single second! I looked up at Rogue Amendiares, and she doesn't look like she noticed any of that! Awesome!

Crynn made a motion that meant out, so we went out of the sofa. "We're just going to leave?" I heard Ariane murmured to Crynn, of course we're leaving, you didn't see any of what just happened before my eyes, that was almost a magic trick on its own right, just for pick pocketers. "Yes we are," he calmly answered with a cheeky grin as we exited the door and up the stairs.

Time to leave this criminal abode and go off.
