Crynn POV
{Chain Mission:}
{1. Find out what world you're in and where you currently are. (Accomplished)}
{2. Hack and analyze Militech's database with the all-round scanner retrievable via anyone's inventory in the course of the mission.}
{Sub-mission : Get a local to help you out! (Accomplished)}
Well would you look at that, sub-mission accomplished, looks like it is a guarantee that V will help us all the way. When in a foreign country, its best to have a local tour guide out to help you travel through the place filled with unfamiliar surroundings. It's the same as worlds, you go to worlds you don't know a thing about, you find someone who knows it and we indeed have found it.
"Looks like V here has agreed. Don't worry too much, we'll bring her back in one piece, she might even bring back some nice souvenirs, what do you think?" Calian negotiated putting the word 'souvenir' as quite the bribe. In this souvenir can mean a lot of different things. Money, equipment, information and lots more beneficiary items.
"You did gave more than half of V's life back, we'll help you as well to some extent," Palmer has agreed which is good good good, I don't remember where I heard it, but saying three word adjectives in succession seems to describe and emphasis the situation more and more. "Great then! Though what help can you give us?"
"Mitch knows some extent of Militech's inside information," A smiling one Mitch Anderson came and stood next to V with his arms crossed and his metallic fingers tapping on the opposite sleeve. "So, as I've introduced before, I'm Mitch Anderson. I was once a soldier for the Free States in the Unification War but not anymore."
"Though I'm a soldier for the Free State, I'm also a bit of a mole for Militech which is a very dangerous job. I serve in the Panzerboys, a military group tasked with transporting weapons, supplies, cargo, you name it to the other military groups and positions that need further supply. Enough said, a lot of said supplies were 'lost', destroyed largely because of me."
"Militech's head of intelligence, Cameron Sanders valued me for it as I indirectly caused a lot of deaths, deaths I can't erase from my soul and I regretted it. Anyway, at the end of the war, I was called back to be properly rewarded for my contributions to Militech and the NUSA. When i say inside information is literally inside information."
"Meaning, I know the layout inside the building and where the databases are. I was given a chance to be promoted into an intelligence officer right under Cameron Sanders, I refused and voted retirement instead which my boss thought as a pity and I got my retirement funds, ran away alone and found the Aldecaldos, my home till today."
"And that's all for my story, the database location, the maps, the layout is all inside my head and I can't clearly collect it all, that's why you'll need to wait for the memory containing the information to be processed into a braindance," braindance? That's the eh... VR thing is it? SO like he's going to redirect his memories into virtual reality, not so sure about this.
"Right, braindance, when are we doing this," Calian looks like he's thinking a lot, too much thought can stress someone out. "Tomorrow, it's getting late, we need to move further into the desert, but this time, looks like we're changing our route, we're going to move east and then South towards Washington, I'm sure you guys can keep up, especially with that AV," Mitch finished.
Yes, we need some rest, today's been mind blowing and we need to cool it down for a bit, can't have more meltdowns for the day. "So are we done here?" The negotiator and the only one that has been talking, Calian said with an expression that says, "Finally over!" Mitch turned to look at V and Panam Palmer, shrugging and spoke, "We're done for today."
"Well, happy cooperation," Calian stood up abruptly and stretched his hand out in front of V as she got up as well. The hands shook which is a good sign. Each of us walked off in style, retreating from the convoy in fast looking yet slow sounding paces. "So how do you feel, negotiator?" Jill teased Calian from behind as she's chuckling.
"Like I've just got back from an American-Soviet nuclear armistice agreement," that's too exaggerated. "At least the sub-mission is accomplished, now we have a chain mission to take care of," I have a feeling that this world would be fun and exciting yet also excruciatingly technical and exhausting.
"Let's hope the direction of the chain mission is not towards Hell," Aria sighed as we made it to the aerodyne and entered. "So, Aria and Jill, maybe you should read up on braindances more and some other useful information, anything you can find and anything you think might help us on this endeavor because I don't know what to expect here, so we need to raise our expectation levels slightly higher."
A loud ringtone sang throughout the aircraft and a symbol of a ringing phone is displayed on one of the monitors. Jill pressed the enter button as the voice came out of it, "Hello? Can you hear me? Have we established connection?" Okay, looks like that's the sound of V. "Yes, we can hear you loud and clear," communications established, nice.
The line went off, looks like they turned it off once they've confirmed communications, we muted the line as well. "Can anyone program the aircraft's GPS to follow closely behind the convoy with the established communications?" So it's not very easy for me but it should be relatively simple for the two girls, it's only by tracking the coordinates on the device beyond the communication line and continuously input the coordinates on the GPS.
"Now are there any sleeping bags in this aerodyne?"
