Gaming

Crynn POV

"So how's the trip," I was asked the instant I went inside the aerodyne, what's more baffling is what said asker doing. Is he playing, some sort of battle royale game together with Aria? Is this what the both of them have been doing while we're away? "Oh it's absolutely lovely and I've got everything I and we needed for the celebration.

Calian and Aria tapped and pressed loudly on the keyboards, their mice dashing quickly all over the mouse pads, serious looks are on their faces as gun shots sounded and in-game scream noises shouted. "What game are you playing," I stood behind Aria as I watched her stab a character to death while Jill went over to sit on the chair next to Calian, spectating the battle from his view.

"It's a Japanese made game 'Batoru Rowaiaru' directly translated to 'Battle Royale' in English. So 100 players have to fight their ways of the map with only either one surviving or a team surviving. It's fun, we were bored to hell waiting for all of you to return and I decided what does this world's version of Steam have?"

"And apparently, this game is one of the most popular games out there. We gave it a try and we dig it," At the end of his sentence, Calian exposed his position and shot a rocket into the side of a tank, destroying it. This seems like a very fun game with incredible top notch graphics as well, I would totally play it on my free time.

"So are you winning?" I questioned down as I saw Aria's finger sped up, doing some overly complicated maneuvers to dodge to sniper shots, awesome. "No we are not winning, I am dying... I died," I looked at Calian's screen to find his character burnt to a crisp under a field of flames and huge bolded red words of 'DEATH'.

"Aria looks like she's winning," I said as I saw a helicopter passed above Aria as I felt her shoulders tense. And at the next moment, a huge rocket came down, utterly obliterating her player character. I take what I said previously back. "F*ck that! That helicopter is way too overpowered, we can't fight that!" Aria frustratingly stared at the screen with fire in her eyes.

"What's up with the attack chopper?" Jill raised her brow as she inquisitively looked at the both death screens. "The helicopters, yes there's an 's' at the end of it, the helicopters will magically appear after a certain time frame and what's worse is that the helicopters basically one shot us at every turn, this is a good game, but they should really nerf that helicopter," Calian argued.

"Have you checked the gaming manual yet? Online tips and help?" As soon as Jill asked the obvious, Aria and Calian turned to each other with blank glances. "Huh? Why didn't we think of that?" Calian tonelessly spoke. "You mean we spent 5 games losing to that helicopter and we could've just looked it up and understand how to solve it," Aria expressionlessly voiced.

I feel a dangerous aroma rumbling around, should stop them or redirect their attention before their dam broke out like a flood of furious emotions. "Maybe we should stay away from the addictive, soul stealing games and get to talking about what we did back in the hotel and how we should proceed, right?" I grasped both their shoulders, turning them to look at me as I put out my most serene of smiles.

"Just gotta calm down for a moment," Calian took out some water, gulping large amounts of it, before putting it down, huffing. "Okay, what do you have for us," Aria sighed, looking at Jill who has her mouth in a curve. "Okay, so here's the grand plan, Just an hour ago, Crynn here did an excellent job stealing me a card though he returned with a wallet of cards."

"Here is where it starts, I found a precision card duplicator in the with an affordable price and we need the card as identification to get identified as staff. So, I've set up roles for each and every one of us and V included. I will be the waiter on the event, serving the food, the drinks for a specific reason and the rest of you will pose as hotel staff on another reason."

"I have a very easy way of getting Thompson Maresh out of the ballroom and into a secluded area. You see I'm going to be the waiter which means I'll have control of the dishes I bring with me. What can move a man from his seat. One of the factors is abdominal pain and impulse to vomit which can be caused by a nifty item that's non-contraband and can be stored anywhere. And it is-"

"Rodenticide? Rat poison?" Aria suddenly said in middle of Jill's speech. "How did you know?" Jill is taken aback with curiosity of how Aria could accurately guess. "I played Hitman, it's a game where the players pose as an elusive assassin with only one name, Agent 47 and a false name, Tobias Reaper."

"The game uses set-ups and carefully placed tricks to try and assassinate the target, one easier method is to give the target rat poison and silently drown the target when they're in the toilet," sounds... practical but not as well. "Yes, we're going to do as she said, but we are not bringing Thompson to a toilet, we're leading him to a staff corridor."

"How we're going to do that is an not at all a difficult step. One of you posing as the staff will put up an 'under maintenance' sign on the door of the male toilets all across the ballroom floor. Now, having a bad stomachache will lead him to the nearest toilet which just happens to be as before, 'under maintenance'."

"One of you will always be guarding that nearest toilet in any case he arrives, you will lead him to the next nearest toilet which is in the staff corridor but surprise, there will be no toilets in the staff corridor but instead, there will be all of us, there to ambush him. That's the overall gist of what we're going to do, any questions?" No one said a thing.

"Great, we'll start preparations tomorrow."
