Roped In

Crynn POV

"So let me get this straight, you want us, a team of 5 to hijack a Militech super-submarine?" Jill questioned with an expression of 'are you serious' so seriously written across her entire face. "Well yes," what a curt answer from Calian, I can see how this will turn out because the probability's pointing to the direction of rejection.

"Sorry for inquiring but if you want to die so badly, there's a handgun on the table over there, do shoot yourself," ooh... That hurt. "Look, maybe we've been keeping you out of this but the whole point of getting Thompson Maresh in the first place is to get to the UCU headquarters underneath Antarctica," Calian strongly argued which serves to confuse V even more by the looks of it.

"Sorry? UCU? Antarctica?" Yup, she doesn't know of that as well. "UCU is short for United Corporations Union, think of it as an internal organization consisting of all the top corporations in the world. It handles relations problems, external affairs, trade routes anything in line with any corporations' interest in working together with each other."

"And the headquarters is not located in Geneva, it is located in Antarctica not on top of it but below it. A massive underwater base reserved for the most powerful and dangerous men and women walking on this planet, everyone with a schedule for business and an itinerary for successful cooperation with one another."

"And we need Thompson for?" Ahh, I guess it isn't that obvious. "He has an electronic ticket for the super-submarine, without it, we couldn't get onboard it. By the way, just so you know, the submarine is our only option into getting ourselves into the UCU headquarters. As two of our previous 'trips', this one is also for information, which means, we're primarily targeting the UCU database," I finished which earned me quite the stare from V.

"Right... right, of course, argh... When?" V rubbed her temples like she's going to face a lot of headaches ahead. "Around next week, we have all the time to ourselves to prepare," Aria said with a reassuring tone but I don't think V is that easily reassured of safety and convinced that we're all going to be fine, a bold statement which I myself do not trust.

"And how are you going to be able to hijack a Militech super-submarine which I can safely predict and calculate must have hundreds of personnel inside, each of them well trained, carries weapons and are as alert as hawks," ehh... That's up for Jill to think of, so I personally can't really answer that. "We've got one fine plan but we won't spoil it," our negotiator can though.

"How about the headquarters itself, where is the database located, how are you going to get to it?" A few sharp questions that could pierce someone's unready heart if not careful. "Don't worry about it, we can do it just as smoothly as the last two," Calian hotly declared for us, his leadership coming out into rays of starlight.

"With how vague your answers turn out to be, I'm starting to think that all of you hadn't thought of a plan at all. Besides, I've heard a wise man once said, confidence and arrogance is a man's downfall," wow, did she just say that. I peeked at Calian's face to find him unchallenged and unfazed by the mock.

"Confidence and arrogance without ability is sure to bring someone an undoing but with the required skillsets and a true heart, confidence and arrogance may lead to unending victory," yes, yes, I completely agree though not the two traits can certainly be kept at a limit, too much will disrupt everything.

"How about the both of you? Have you any opinions on this?" V spoke towards I and Aria as we looked at one another. "I have no doubt of the success of this mission. I'm not trying to be hubristic nor shortsighted but we've each got our jobs to do and our capability is not to be doubted. I have no dubiety in saying that Calian has the ability to mow down enemies, tens of them at once. After all, you hadn't seen the extent of what him and his equipment can do," Aria smiled with her head up.

"As said by Aria, I have absolutely nothing more to say about the certainty. Hijacking a super-submarine may sound difficult but in all actuality can be a very simple errand to run. Close spaces within the submarine provides easy lines of shot. Surprising the enemy with a powerful silenced rifle one by one is as easy as pie."

"Not to mention, Jill is an expert when it comes to hacking. Cameras will be turned off, turrets won't so much as move a muscle, internal and external communications can't be used. We've got the complete element of surprise while staying silent when everyone else inside the submarine is still chilling around playing cards, we've already cleared the top deck."

Yes, I may have turned it too simple but in all actuality, it's what it is. Silencers keep guns silenced, which means shooting won't produce much of a sound and submarines make loud vibrations which will easily disguise shots as mere small noises around the walls. And it's not a mafia battlefield taking place in the streets, drawing complete attention, this is corridor by corridor, room sweeps by room sweeps all while maintaining complete surprise and being quiet.

"You do make an extremely strong point. I'm gonna regret this, aren't I?" Jill sighed as she slowly sat down on a chair, her hand to grab a cup of tea, sipping it slowly, lightly blowing on it as the serene green liquid passed inside V's mouth. "But the final question hasn't been answered. Are you in or are you not in?" Calian saw the opportunity when the resistance in V has been lowered, does his persuasion work?

"Fine, it's not everyday we hijack a submarine. So, where do we start," roped in.
