{Total Rewards : 2 Special Lottery Chance, 75000 Mission Merits}

Wow, ehm... I'm sad and all but maybe not too much anymore. Looking at the rewards, ooh, delectable. Don't have a clue what special lottery chance might mean but it sure as hell looks good, good, good! And damn, 75000 Mission Merits, that a whole lot of currency to spend. And after giving it a second's thought, it's only right we deserved this much for all the trouble we had to face back there.

"We're back," Aria said the obvious as she plunged down on a chair, stretching her entire body like an adorable cat, huh, adorable? [Yes! You have! I would like to reach you out with my congratulatory greeting but you should already sense the theme from my voice alone that I am extremely pleased and the Gods are extremely satisfied as well.]

Ehm... Okay sure. "What's this special lottery chance?" I turned to ask, not that I have a direction to face considering there isn't a physical figure to find, only a mental voice to be heard. [Ah yes, that. Due to your... towering excellence in handling the case, each of the Gods had put in a reward of their own into this special lottery chance!]

[And all are at a minimum orange rank. Oh! your next mission won't be the same as the few last ones you did, this time will be... special. I'll explain after you're thoroughly done with all of your lotteries and spending!] And poof, the voice is gone though it does sound much more cheery than it had ever been, I guess he's really 'pleased', the adjective makes it sound like we're servants but I won't question it, yet, or maybe won't, ever.

"Huh? A claw game? Ever won one of these before?" Aria quickly noticed an added addition to our room in the void, next to the slot machine is a brand new arcade device, the claw machine, fearsome for being a difficult mountain to overcome but for some, it's nothing but a small hill towards the bigger horizon, just some philosophy.

The claw machine stood as tall as the slot machine. It's pretty much the typical claw machine with its claw and it's contents laid out. There's also a small screen on the top right of the machine with the number 2 on it. I assume that is the 2 special lottery chances that we have gotten as a reward for our outstanding performance.

"Yes, I have, a lot," yup, a lot is a bit undermining it, considering I once plowed through an arcade store's entire stock of random dolls all by winning at the claw game. "Never tried it before, is it difficult?" Aria looked at the machine like a dreaded object. "I am not really fond of games like such, it's all based on probability and luck."

"Claw machines aren't ever based on probability, it's more based on positioning and geometrical mathematics, Let me show you," I moved to the claw game and pressed to play, time to show off. The claw machine is filled with balls of all sorts of colors, there's gold, red, blue but I'm sure that the color doesn't have anything to do with the worth inside it.

I perfectly moved the claw right above a purple ball, promptly releasing it downwards as the claws moved lightly, trapping the ball within its grasp, child's play. And bam! I got the ball and looks like I used up one special lottery chance but I'm confused. Is the special lottery chance used for a game or is it used for a successful grab?

Surely the Gods aren't that stingy, are they? Anyway, I pulled the ball out of the claw machine as the top popped open to reveal ooh... orange shine! It's the minimal level so I shouldn't be that excited.

{Gorgon's Head}

{Orange Artifact)

{The Gorgon, a creature so terrifying that whosoever stared into its very eyes would turn to stone for an eternity. With a high magical aptitude and physical ability, this creature is on a ranked list with levels the same as that of the legendary Greek Hydra and the fiery Chinese Vermillion Bird Hatchling.}

{This is however, the head of a Gorgon descendent with very limited power in comparison to its three well-known predecessors, especially Medusa's infinite petrification stare.}

{Skills}

{Stony Stare: Upon skill activation, petrifies one living being in its corresponding pointed direction, turning the target into stone, 1 month cooldown.}

Mhm... This is cool, i can definitely use this as a life saver. I felt something gripped on my hand as I raised it up, taking a good look at it. It's a female's head, beautiful but sadly the snakes as her hair doesn't look... arousing to say the least. Its kept in a perfect condition despite the fact that the head had had no blood left, meaning, it's fluidless, without heat, and should have been decomposed but this is a magical item and magic defies everything, biology included.

"I know your reward must be awesome or something but I'd like to know how to even begin to play this machine," don't worry Aria, you have a top notch professional to guide you throughout this experience. "Simple, press the star button, and move the joystick, place the claw above one of the balls and grab it!"

Turns out, it's not so simple after all.
